Gene X Reader 2 A Not so Bad Guy

we celebrated and after everyone left gene, the kids and, i go inside and find a movie to watch. i put in beauty and the beast live action. gene and i cuddle and i begin to tear up as thoughts flow through my mind.

gene pets my hair and hums. alex and juliet fell asleep on the couch. gene puts them in their room and kisses them goodnight. i stay in the living room and let thoughts consume me. once gene comes back i notice something wet on my cheeks. i feel gene wipe away my tears and kiss me. i kiss back smiling brightly as i wrap my arms around his neck. he holds me close and we cuddle some more.

"you keep crying." gene chuckles at some part.

"i'm just so happy" i mumble my face in his shoulder. i start to yawn and gene begins to as well.

"we should get to bed, it's been a long day." he says getting up. i nod and stand with him as we walk to the bedroom. we go to bed and i'm in gene's arms the whole night smiling brightly.

in the morning

once i wake up and glance at the clock i freak. i woke up 1/2 an hour late and get up quickly. "babe wake up we're late" i say in a rush and get dressed quickly walking into the kid's room. "juliet, alex wake up you need to get ready for daycare. come on." i rush. the two woke up and drowsily but semi-quickly get dressed walking out to the living room. i follow them and quickly pop some bread into the toaster.

"honey calm down" gene says and i look over exasperated. 

"we're going to be late hun i can't just calm down. i can't be l-"

"just like highschool. dear it's sunday. work starts tomorrow." he explains. my face falls and i look at my phone. indeed he was correct and it was sunday. i strangle a laugh and smile brightly.

"oh it is. well uhm. what should we do? another family outing?" i ask.

"okay?" juliet says. i smile at her and make a real breakfast.
