Annabeth's heart was beating rapidly as her anger failed to subsided. She stared at the stranger who calls himself 'Perseus' with as much hate she could muster. Whereas he stared at her coldly in return. Out of the corner of her eye, Annabeth could see Nico glancing between her and Perseus nervously. Without saying a word to Nico, Annabeth stood up quickly and dusted herself off without breaking eye contact with Perseus. Her breath heaving, she began to stalk towards Perseus but was halted by Nico's tight hold on her wrist. Annabeth watched as Nico scrambled to his feet and blocked her view of Perseus by standing in front of her.

Nico shakes his head at her and whispers harshly, " It is not smart to upset him." Annabeth bites back a rebuttal and sighs in return, knowing that he was correct. After eyeing her and making sure she wouldn't do anything, Nico let go of her wrist and turned towards Perseus.

Nico couldn't stop the shivers that ran down his spine. Perseus was unrecognizable. He looked vicious and detached from the world, the complete opposite of Percy. Keeping his eyes trained on the man's chin, Nico told him, "Leave." Perseus didn't even blink an eye. "If you are not going to explain yourself as to who you are or what happened to you, I suggest you leave." Annabeth felt somewhat proud that Nico was taking control of the situation. Something she should have done but instead only made it worse.

Still waiting for an answer, Nico stood his ground and stared at Perseus' chin. On the outside he seemed composed but on the inside, he was on the verge of sh***ing his pants.

Seconds tick by and still no answer. Perseus didn't move so far an inch or even spoke a word. Everyone was beginning to think he was made of stone, never moving and always still.

Nico gulped as he tried to figure out what to do. Things have really gotten out of hand.

"I cannot answer your questions."

Nico's eyes nearly bulge out his head, along with the others, at the sudden reply. He didn't think Perseus would answer him.

"Why can't you?" Annabeth asks him with a puzzled expression. Nico stares at Perseus as he laid his eyes on her.

"I don't remember anything." He tells her with a straight face.

Nico and Annabeth both shared the same confused expression. If Perseus has no memory, then how is he bad? How is he dangerous if he has no recollection of whom his enemies are?

"I do not have any memories..." he tells us, "but that does not mean I do not have thoughts as well." His eyes turn dark, as if the sea inside them was beginning to form a tsunami. As did his face, a shadow lightly covered the bottom half of his face. His lips tilted into a snarl, showing off a few of his teeth. Annabeth's heart plummeted as she stared to shake out of fear.

Perseus took two, very long strides to stand directly in front of Nico, who was quickly being pushed up against Annabeth. Nico's back hit Annabeth as he walked backward to put some distance between him and Perseus.

Perseus didn't spare a glance at Nico, and instead stared at Annabeth with stormy eyes. The fear that went through her body the second their eyes connected was unlike anything Annabeth had ever felt before.

Perseus towered over Nico and Annabeth. They both craned their necks to stare up at him with horror on their faces.

Looking down upon Annabeth, he said in a deep voice, deeper than Annabeth had ever heard before, " Thoughts of killing each and every single one of you slowly, painfully, and mercilessly."

And then, as if he was never there in the first place, —poof— he was gone.

Alright, look, let me just explain myself. Ok? Ok good. I have had THE  B I G G E S T    WRITERS BLOCK  E V E R

I swear to y'all that over these LONG months, I did NOT have a single CLUE as to what I should do next. Like I know what I want the ending to be like (somewhat at least) but I have absolutely no idea how to get there LOL. This is why you plan a book before you write it. But honestly, when I started, I didn't care cuz I didn't think people would actually read it. But then to my surpriseeeee, people did for some reason.

And I am so grateful for that. Honestly. Thank you. Makes me feel like I'm on cloud nine.

Now, I have no idea when in the world I'll update again. Hopefully I will update soon (hehe last time I said that I didn't update until almost like a year later lol my bad)

Hope you enjoy this short, error/mistake — filled chapter. I just really wanted to post something to show my gratitude for all the love and support. Really appreciate it.

THANK YOUUUUUUUU <3
