After begging and begging, Annabeth finally ended up convincing the group to help Percy. After some planning and debating, they ended up agreeing that only two people should head back to Camp Half-Blood in order to prevent from gaining too much attention. Having only two people going was risky but they didn't want to risk having multiple people caught up. So, their safest bet was having two individuals sneak into camp and cautiously look for Percy.

And they needed to do so quickly without arousing suspicion. All they want is to check up on him, and that's exactly what they're going to do. After much arguing, mostly from Annabeth, Chiron decided that only Nico and Jason would go to camp. As much as she fussed, Chiron told Annabeth that she of all people could not handle this small yet grand task. He knew she would hesitate if she were to see Percy again and hesitation is something he knew they couldn't afford right now.

Which, in the end, she was okay with since she understood how her going would probably be too risky. Besides, she knew she could trust Jason and Nico.

Thanks to his shadow travel abilities, Nico and Jason popped up right in front of camp. Without wasting a second, they both jogged as quietly as they could into camp and kept a look out for Percy. Having to search camp in secret was not an easy task.

Finding Percy was turning out to be even more difficult than they thought it would be because no matter how hard they looked, there was no sign of Percy.

Breathing a little hard, Jason glanced at Nico as he put a hand out to stop him from jogging more. Distracted from keeping an eye out, Nico gave him a questioning once over as he scanned the area for Percy.

Jason shook his head and took a big gulp of air, "He's nowhere man. He must've left or something. I don't know."

Nico looked back at him, out of breath too, "I don't know Jason. I just.. I feel like he couldn't have left already you know?" Jason nodded as he wiped a bead of sweat from his temple. He knew what Nico was thinking and wanted to point it out that he felt the same way. "You think he's in danger too huh?" Their eyes connected, which confirmed Jason's intuition. Sighing, he tells Nico, "I can't shake the feeling that something's wrong too."

Nico's brows furrowed even more and Jason continued, "Let's keep looking."

They both began to head towards a corner that led to the pavilion. Jason was still trying to catch his breath when all of a sudden, Nico reached out both hands and grabbed him fiercely before yanking Jason behind him. Jason's back hit a tree trunk and before he could fathom what was going on, Nico shushed him with increasingly anxious eyes. Noticing that they were both hiding behind a couple of trees, Jason looked beyond them to see what was the root of Nico's uneasiness.

"Now that this task of yours is finished, it's time for the next step."

Jason's eyes squinted from disbelief. There, standing in the middle of the pavilion, stood Percy with a woman. Percy's back was to them but the woman was right in view since she was facing Percy.

Jason and Nico both stared bewilderedly at the scene before them. They wondered what they were talking about.

All of a sudden, Percy spoke to the woman, "Which is?"
