P A R T 1They all waited, quietly, restlessly, for any news or whereabouts on Clarisse and Noimo. They all sat without uttering a single word. Sally stared at her legs as she tried to control her thoughts. She felt anxious, dread, and most of all, worried. She couldn't wrap her head around everything that was going on and felt completely lost.
She was in dire need of answers and solutions to fix the problems that were occurring. Her fingers twitched with anxiety and her breathing increased. Gulping, she felt her body tense from the uncomfortable silence. The lack of noise in the building made her feel numb and suffocated. She needed to distract herself, to feel something. Without thinking, Sally sat up in her seat and spoke aloud, "Maybe we should consider sending more people to look for whoever it is we're looking for."
The others twitched as they tried to bring their minds back into the room. The silence suddenly being broken surprised them. Jason cleared his throat and told her, "We're searching for a cyclops that goes by the name 'Noimo'." Sally nodded her head in acknowledgment and blew out a breath. Chiron looked at her and they made eye contact, "Clarisse is a very... dedicated person. She will find this cyclops, I'm sure of it. If she needed help, she will let us know."
Thalia scoffed quietly but everyone heard despite that. She glanced around the room to see everyone staring at her and she shrugged, "It's Clarisse we're talking about. She's the most hard headed, proud person in this room. Or at least one of them. She would never admit she needed help."
"You're absolutely right. Good thing it never comes to that though. Since I always get things done." Clarisse's booming voice surprised them and forced them to look at her as she walked into the throne room. Behind her was the cyclops. Sally gazed at him with curiosity as he walked with his head down. The cyclops avoided any sort of eye contact and maintained his stare on the floor. Clarisse sat on her chair and motioned to the cyclops, "This is Noimo, the cyclops we were looking for and now have found... because of me. Anyways, I found him in Percy's cabin."
Everyone was busy staring at Noimo to even bother comment on what Clarisse had told them. Poseidon cleared his throat and asked, "Would you like to introduce yourself?" Noimo stayed silent as he continued to stare at the floor. Although his body was still, his face held a lot of conflicting emotions. He seemed to look like he wanted to speak out but was afraid to for some unknown reason. Annabeth couldn't help but wonder how close Percy and him were, if even at all. Nico sat upright and cleared his throat, "We understand it may be hard for you to do so considering the language difference but... anything would do really."
Noimo seemed to ponder for a moment and opened his mouth as if to speak. He looked carefully around the room and said, "N...name...Noimo." He pointed to himself and blew out a breath. "Me... Tartarus..." he cleared his throat with aggravation and continued, "Percy my... bro... brobble." Jason stared at the cyclops' clenching fists and corrected him cautiously, "Brother. You... you mean brother." Noimo looked at him and Jason shut his mouth but was taken by surprise when the cyclops nodded his head and gave him a little smile. It was very little, barely even noticeable, but it was enough for Jason to feel relieved.
Annabeth looked at Noimo and asked him, "But... how did you two meet? And... you and Percy are brothers? I... I don't understand." Noimo looked at her and Annabeth realized that it was the first time he had ever looked at her in the eye. His eye... she noted... looked at her differently than the way it looks at everyone else. It was strange... it was like he knew her, yet how could he? When they had only just met?
