P A R T 1After his sudden disappearance, the crowd went into a frenzy. They couldn't quite understand what had happened but one thing was clear: Percy is back, and not as himself. Before things could get too chaotic, the campers were sent back to their cabins. Chiron announced that all would be discussed after breakfast the next day.
But unbeknownst to the others, a more private meeting between the gods, goddesses, and the leaders of their cabins would be held.
The decision to hold the private meeting at Olympus was made and so everyone was currently sitting while waiting for someone to begin the discussion.
"We have to call her," Annabeth was the first to speak. Grover immediately shook his head, "No. We should figure out what's going on with him before we call her."
"She has to know he's back Grover,"Annabeth told him, and everyone, with a hard tone.
"Why? She's only going to come running, hoping that she'll be able to reunite with him only to be even more broken hearted when she finds out what happened," Grover spits back at her.
The others glanced cautiously between them as they bickered, hoping it wouldn't go too far.
"We can't just hide the fact that Percy came back! She has to know!" Annabeth could feel her patience wearying.
Grover pointed a finger at her as his anger was starting to go beyond his control, "Of course she does! But not now! Give us more time to at least give her good news instead of the fact that her son returned from Tartarus completely unrecognizable—" his eyes watered as he started to choke on his words, " — that he was no more than a shell of who he was and — oh wait— then tell her yeah, your son was also 'apparently' cursed so he's now a psychotic murderer out for our throats."
By the time he stopped talking, Annabeth was quiet as Grover looked at his lap while tears streamed down his face.
In a low voice, Annabeth told him softly while gazing at him through her tired eyes, "We have to tell her. She deserves to know." Grover stayed silent as he wiped his fallen tears.
"I agree with Ms. Chase," said Lord Poseidon after a moment, "Sally is strong enough to bear the news. He is her son, she has the right to know."
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement and watched as Grover sighed defeatedly. He knew that it was only reasonable; that this was only right, but he couldn't see Sally, whom was like a mother to him, in so much pain anymore. He had hoped all would get better but he can't deny the right of her knowing the whereabouts of her son.
"Okay great! Cuz I've already called her. She's on her way."
Heads snapped towards where the voice came from and laid their eyes on Nico. He sat on the ground by Hades' new throne with a sheepish smile. Putting his hands up, he says, "Hey, I just did what I promised Ms. Jackson I would do."
He nervously glanced around at the people who were staring at him hard. "Look. She has to know, okay? So instead of wasting time, I called her. I didn't give her any details though. I just said that she needs to come to Olympus ASAP. She's on her way right now." Everyone shifted in their seats as some shook their heads at Nico.
