As the bell rang, Courtney and her peers hustled out of their classroom, not wanting to miss their next, and favorite class.......P.E.! Over 25 7th graders raced down the hall, Courtney lagging behind, toward the gym. She sighed. At least P.E. would be indoors, seeing as it was like 200 degrees outside. At last, Courtney made it to the gym, just in the nick of time, too, because as soon as her shoes landed with an ear splitting screech on the floor, the late bell rung. Breathing heavily, she looked at their coach, a heavily muscled man, with bulging biceps and a big build. To top it off, he had to be at least 6 feet tall! Coach started issuing orders as soon as the late bell rang. "Joseph, you stand next to Corey. Hailey, next to Brendan. Gianna, go stand by Addison. And....," he paused. "I'm sorry, but I don't know your name," Coach said. "Courtney." "Ah, yes. The new girl," he said rubbing his hands together. "I know just where to put you. Go stand next to Steven," he said. Reluctantly she shuffled over to where Steven stood. As she took her place Steven looked over at her, and gave her a mean glare. She did her best to ignore it, but failed miserably. Courtney looked out at Coach and raised her hand. "Sir, I am not feeling well," she said. " Well, go to the nurse. Go with her Steven," he barked. They ran out of the gym and to class to get her stuff. As they started down the hall, Steven said "I know that you are not truly sick." Leering he said " You are pathetic, going home because you are afraid of your superiors!" They arrived at the office where here mom stood waiting. She thanked Steven before turning to Courtney. "What happened," she asked as they walked out of the building and toward the car. She knew it was no use lying to her mother, so she spilled out the truth. Courtney told her everything and when she was done, she was in tears. " I am shocked. Steven seemed so nice," she said gently. "No, mom! He is an Eddie Hascal! He is nice around adults and mean around other kids," Courtney sobbed. " I think I know just what you need. How about a nice cuddle session with Sadie girl? Huh?" That sounded perfect, she thought.
