As the bus screeched to a halt in front of Courtney's house, the best yes got off the bus and ran up the front steps. They tossed their backpacks on the ground near the door, and headed to the kitchen for a snack. The two raided the pantry before settling on a bowl of goldfish and pretzels each. As they at their snack, Sadie sidled over to see who the newcomer was. "Jasmine, this is Sadie, my dog. Sadie-girl, this is Jasmine." Sadie approved of the introduction and began giving Jasmine kisses. After the kisses subsided, Jasmine brought up their homework. "Ugh. But I suppose that it will have to get done eventually," Court sighed. "Fine, how about an episode of America's Got Talent and then housework," Jasmine proposed. They agreed that this was the best option. An hour later, the friends lay on the couch watching the final credits of the season 7 finale of AGT with Sadie across their laps. The tow finally retired to Courtney's room to do their homework. As they sat on Courtney's bed finishing up their math homework, Sadie on the bed beside them, Jasmine spoke up. "Courtney, I know we have barely known each other, but let's hang out every day." "I like that idea," Court replied. As Sadie butted her head in between the new best friends, the three knew nothing could destroy their friendship. Never. Ever. Ever. Sometimes life takes you to unexpected places, it forces you to meet new people. Although it sometimes doesn't work out, it almost always does. Sometimes, life is out of your hands, you are not the driver, you are just hanging on for the ride. You don't know where it will take you, but you know it will turn out good in the end.
