Harry is engaged?

"Oh,"

Louis gulped, "yep."

My breathing quickened a little and suddenly I felt a little sick.

My life was so in shambles right now. My grades were barely getting by, I was going for hookup after hookup and making no real connections. I was a mess. And here Harry was, engaged to a woman to be married. I bet she was some incredibly kindhearted Christian girl that honored his faith and didn't pressure him to be intimate.

"If it helps, I met her and she's kinda ugly," Louis said with a shrug.

"Shut up," I laughed, hitting him on the shoulder. "You really met her?"

"Yeah about two months ago when they first got engaged,"

Two months!

I groaned. "So basically he's doing a lot better without me?"

"I mean..."

"Time really does fly doesn't it?" I said.

"Yeah, it does."

"Sooo. Ugly huh?" I said, and Louis chuckled.

"She's really a great girl Teagan, he didn't want me to say anything to you. He's really really happy. And he really did love you though ya know. Promise you won't do anything or try to reach out to him?" He asked.

Somewhere in the back of mind, when I broke up with Harry, it was only temporary. I even said that when I did break it off, and I wanted to get back together at some point, I really did.

But then Zayn happened, and that just got pushed to the back of my mind. And soon days became weeks, and weeks became months, and now over a year has passed with little thought about it.

And yet, I always had this little idea that we would get back together someday. That we would be the ones getting engaged and married. But that idea was gone now, because he had found someone better for him to spend the rest of his life with.

And here I was, lost and more alone than ever.

"When are they getting married?"

"I'm not sure they've set a date yet," he said.

"He's just so young though I mean, really. He's 20 years old why is he even thinking about marriage, I just-"

"Look Tea, Just because you're in a place right now where you're single doesn't mean other people can't be happy," Louis said.

"No, no, I know. How's you and Shawn by the way?" I asked, changing the subject.

He smiles "We're really great. I met his mum last night, actually."

"Oh my god seriously?! How did that go," I ask with excitement.

"Eh, Alright I suppose," he shrugs.

"Well did she like you atleast?"

"I'm not sure, maybe. She was a bit critical if I'm bein honest," he stated.

"What do you mean critical?" I ask.

"Well we dated last year before I basically broke up with him for a chick so his mums not too thrilled about that. She thinks I'm gonna leave him again because I like girls as well," he explains.
