•Four Weeks Later•

I kiss Payton a few too many times as I leave her in the arms of the babysitter I had only met a week ago. I had to trust my daughters life in her hands, and the thought was somewhat unsettling to me. However, it was necessary as I was heading back to my last year of College today and wasn't able to watch her all day any more.

"She's in good hands with us here, I promise," the young girl says with a bright smile, and I believe her.

"Okay, mommy loves you," I say, kissing Payton's forehead one last time before leaving the building.

I walk into my first class, the feeling of being back at school was almost surreal since having a child. It felt odd being a mother who was still in college.

About ten minutes before class, someone sits next to me, and I look over and stifle a groan.

"Morning, Teagan," he says, a smile adorning his lips.

I roll my eyes lightly.

"Ah, no need to be rude, cmon now," he chuckles a bit and I flash him a small smile in return.

"Morning, Liam," I finally say.

"There ya go," he says, taking a pen out from his bag.

"What can I say, you bring out the manners in me," I spoke sarcastically.

"Not true," he mumbles.

"And what do you mean by that?" I question.

Yeah, remember when I said I'm pretty sure we fucked one time when I was really wasted? I think that was coming back to bite me right about now.

"I certainly didn't bring out your manners when I shagged you," he says, his eyes sparkling a bit at the words. I looked around the room and no one seemed to be able to hear us as they chatted amongst themselves before the teacher arrived.

"I was so drunk, I don't even remember, to be quite honest," I admit.

I was pretty wasted as well, but I definitely remember, that one is for sure," he states.

I squint my eyes at him, "and why's that?"

He chuckles a little.

"Liam!"

"Nothing, nothing, you're just really freaky," he says, laughing a bit to himself again.

"I am not freaky," I state.

He looks at me and raises an eyebrow. "You're the kinkiest girl I've ever fucked, that's for sure."

"What the fuck did I do? I swear I'm not that wild sober," I said.

He leans in lightly to my ear and whispers, "one thing I will say is that your overuse of the word daddy was very intriguing."

I gulp a little and look away from him.

"And that wasn't even the weirdest thing," he adds.

"Oh god," I groan, putting my head down on the desk. This was embarrassing.

"If you care to meet with me after class I would be happy to share with you what else happened," he states and I think for a moment. I did have about a forty minute period in between classes.

"Oh, why not, fine," I say, and he smirks in victory.

"Okay I'll take you out to get lunch then and we can chat for a bit," he says. "Id love to just catch up with you by the way."

"Ok." wait.

...Am I going on a date with Liam?

HARRY

I tried to no longer get hopeful as I waited, finding that it only stung worse when the test came back negative.

A few minutes later, she exits the bathroom, and that familiar frown adorns her otherwise beautiful features.

"It's okay," I mumble, more to myself than to her.

She comes a bit closer, leaning in, "two lines," she whispers.

"What?" I ask.

Her frown becomes a smile as she holds up the stick, "two lines, Harry, I'm pregnant!"

"Oh my gosh," I say, my smile growing wide as I engulf her in a hug.

"Really, you're sure?" I ask, not wanting to get hopeful over a false alarm.

"Yes. I almost couldn't believe it when I saw that, so I took another one and it had 2 lines as well," she said.

Nothing but pure happiness filled me as I hugged her. I'm going to be a father. I was going to be responsible for the life of another human being.

The thought both overwhelmed me and filled me with joy.

We moved to the couch, simply sitting there in an embrace, not speaking for a few minutes. It almost didn't feel real.

Nonetheless, it was the best moment of my life so far.

She then looked up at me, smile still adorning her lips as she spoke, "want me to go get some dinner?"

"I can go, love," I say, and she shakes her head.

"No, I have to stop by the shelter really quick and then I'll go get us some food on the way back," she states.

"I'll come with you then," I say with a smile to which she shakes her head again.

"No, I'll go alone. Could you do the dishes in the sink and clean the kitchen a bit, please? I haven't gotten a chance to do them and it's been bothering me," she laughs lightly and I nod.

"Sure thing, love, I'll see you in a few," I say, kissing her cheek as she grabbed the keys from the counter and left.

I am the luckiest man in the world. God is good.
