Katniss' POV

I really don't know what triggered Haymitch's question.
Was it because one of my wrists was resting on my waist and my hand was dangling? Was it the way I was looking down?

To be honest, I was thinking about possible children. I still don't want them. Maybe when our life dulls down and becomes more positive.

I sigh and sit up in the hospital bed. I turn my head to Peeta and give him a small smile, tears threatening to show.
With my free hand I quickly wipe my eyes and rest my hand on my thigh.

I scan our bodies and my eyes stop at our entwined fingers. That free hands somehow makes its way on top and strokes Peeta's hand.

"We're going to be okay." I state and look into Peeta's blue eyes.

Peeta nods before replying. "I know."

I lean over to give him a quick kiss on the lips before sitting up straight again.

I reposition myself and lie by Peeta again, our foreheads touching. I hug my husband to the best of my ability before sinking my head into the crook of us neck.

-----------------

Today, is day 10.
Peeta can come home today.

I turn my open eyes to the window and see the light of the morning sun flooding through.

Peeta strokes my arm and murmurs into my ear. "You'll be helping me. Won't you?" I turn to him and nod.

"Of course. I promised in my vow that I would and I won't be breaking that." I say with a smile.
"Are you happy that you're going home?" Peeta replies with an enthusiastic nod which makes me think he'll break his neck.

"Okay. Okay. I get it." I say, stopping Peeta's nod.

The doctor comes in after a few minutes of silence. We both look at him and he comes to the end of the bed.

"Mr Mellark is able to go back home in about an hour. You can start getting ready to go." I smile and reply.

"Thank you sir." I thank, I get off the bed and shake his hand. "I am happy that you've kept Peeta well." He smiles.

"I'll be back in half an hour with his wheelchair and extras." He says before heading out of the room.

"How am I going to get out of the bed?" Peeta asks me as I turn to face him.

"I'll put the bed upright and we will see from there." I suggest and he nods.

Soon Peeta and I will be home again after 10 days.
