TUCKERS POV:

Everything was going fine. And then Ellie decided she didn't like me, and Harley decided that we weren't good enough for his group.

"What do you mean you want us to go?" I asked Harley, "we haven't done anything wrong."

"I just.. I mean we just think that you're more of a hurt than a help. Olivia and John could've been in a lot of trouble, y'all were the closest to them and somehow the last ones to get there, and y'all came back with no supplies."

Great, so this about what happened when me and Ellie were... Busy. I glanced at Ellie trying to get a read on her emotions but her face remained impassive. She stared straight ahead, her face and body unmoving.

"Y'all are crazy," I said standing up, "I don't even want to be in a group that would kick me out in a moments notice. Ellie come on."

She still stated straight ahead and finally I looked at what she was looking at, Olivia. Olivia was sweaty and red and sick looking, she had been like this ever since the store but somehow it had gotten worse in the last few moments.

"Why did you not tell us?" Ellie screamed at Olivia, getting up and flinging herself at the girl. She straddled Olivia between her legs and held a knife up to her neck. "You're infected arnt you?" Ellie asked.

Olivia started crying, "I.. I... I was scared, please don't kill me."

"Honey, you're already dead." Ellie said. And then plunged the knife into the side of her head. She pulled it out with a yell and got up. "You knew she was infected huh?" She said pointing her knife at Harley, "you wanted us gone so you could what? Try to save her?"

"YOU MONSTER," Harley yelled. He drew his gun and pointed it at Ellie. "For your information bitch," he sneered, "I worked for the cdc before this, there's a cure and I was gonna get it for her."

"There's no cure," Ellie said shaking her head, "you're lying."

"No I'm not," he laughed manically,"I was the lead scientist on the operation to try to create a cure. I succeeded. But look around, no government, you're free to do anything you want, this was what I wanted. So I told the people above me that creating a cure couldn't be done and kept it at my house. That's why we need to get home. I'm just gonna get enough to cure Olivia and keep a little more just in case. I don't want either of y'all to get in the way, that's why I need y'all gone."

I could see Harley's finger going towards the trigger and finally I snapped out of my trance and lunged at him. A shot went off but I didn't get the chance to see where it went before I plunged my knife into Harley's heart.

I looked around and saw Ellie staring at me. And then I saw Deb, leaning against the wall. Blood poured out of a wound on her side. That's where the shot must've gone.

"Did you know about this?" I asked her. She shook her head, "no, I would've wanted the cure to be distributed." Tears poured out of her eyes. "Just leave, I still loved that man and I want to die with him."

Neither me or Ellie made a move, John remained crying over Olivia's body. "GO," she yelled. I ran over to Harley's body and grabbed the car keys, and then me and Ellie went to the car.

I put the keys into the ignition and started it, and then drove.

"What the hell just happened." Ellie finally spoke.

"I don't know, but you do know what we have to do now. Don't you?"

She looked at me and smiled, "find the cure."
