"Fucking hell! You seriously want to bring that bitch back into the mix?" I ask, my eyebrows raised in confusion.
"She's got a mouth!" Lawrence says from behind me, a weird sense of amazement ringing in his voice.
"She's our only chance in!" Gally contradicts, annoyance growing on his face.
I roll my eyes, he has got to be joking. In no way, shape, or form is Teresa our only chance at saving Minho. She's the one who got him captured in the first place. She's the one who put us in this mess, how in the world is she going to be the one to fix it?
"Gally, she's the one who got Minho captured in the first place," Newt says, confusion heavy on his face.
"She's the one who put us in that torture chamber for the past six months!" I add, gesturing to wherever the hell WICKED is. "There's no way she'd help us save Minho! I think this plan needs reevaluation because it's so flawed!"
Gally lets out a sigh, pushing the sewer grate over the hole, shaking his head. "I'm not talking about this right now..." He starts to walk out of the door but stops, turning around to look dead at me. "Minho is my friend too." And with that, he walks off.
Oh my gosh, I'm an asshole...
Something like regret and sadness hits me hard in the gut, a frown immediately forming on my lips. I look down at my sock-covered feet, taking in a heavy breath.
He's right... He must've been planning this for months. WICKED had been wanting to bring us all here, the guys here had probably been listening to the radios and keeping track of WICKED's whereabouts with the Munies.
Newt places his hand on my shoulder, my eyes moving to his. I flash him a soft smile before saying, "I'll be right back."
He raises his eyebrows. "You gonna be okay?"
I nod, my smile growing in size. "I just want to talk to Gally." He just stares at me with a confusion-stricken face. I let out a soft giggle, patting his hand. "I'll be fine, he can't be that crazy." I tease him, his frown turning into a small smile.
I make my way down the hallway, shoving my hands into the pockets of my pants, a heavy breath leaving my lips. I knew I was gonna have to eat my words sometime soon, and now is definitely that moment...
I find Gally sitting on a balcony at the end of the hallway, the railing no longer there, it's just open sky. The moment I step out onto the cement pavement I let out a breath of wonder. This view is incredible!
We have a straight view of WICKED's main building, the tall geometric structure poking out above their wall. In a weird way, it's beautiful. The design of the building blends with the rustic nature of the wall, the two of the clashing in a remarkable way.
"Hey Gally," I speak up, the boy's eyes staying on the wall ahead.
He's seated on the concrete, his arms poking out behind him, propping him up. "Hey Sandy."
I let out a sigh, taking the seat next to him, that weird feeling of familiarity coming back. "Look, I'm really sorry about earlier... I can be very rash and harsh about things, I don't mean to be, but I just–"
"It's okay Sandy," He says, his eyes moving to mine, a soft smile on his lips. "I get the same way about things. It's why the boys don't exactly like me."
"I just want you to know that I trust you," I say, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"Really?" He asks, confusion flowing on his face.
I nod, a soft smile growing on my lips. "I know that this must've been a long process for you, this whole plan thing." I pause, a smile growing on Gally's lips. "I just want you to know that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get my... my Minho back."
