Childhood

Innocent children
The youth of this world
The years before
Are what "define" us

That's how it's supposed to be
That's how we are supposed to live
Following blindly
Behind our "parents"

To listen
To be so trusting
Is true innocence
And only the "purest" have it

"Slaves" to their own mind
Their own minds and ideals
Because that how they were raised
But not us?

No we are the ones
Who can't hold our tongue
Can't "listen" for the life of us
Can't do what we are told

Sarcasm dripping and falling like rain
From our "raunchy" mouths
We are not deserving
Of what they have

Of their family
And "unconditional" love
So just stop dreaming
Just like they want

Learning from your past is hard
If you don't know how to
Be "patient"
Because the best teacher we have is our childhood

No matter what
The next generation does not deserve
To live as we did
So be "considerate"
