(Name) POV
I woke up early in the morning, cuddling Connor with (cat's name) snuggled into the blankets too. I slipped my arms from around him and I finally got up from laying on his chest, yawning quietly as I got up without waking up either of the two. I made my way into the bathroom part of the camper. I used the bathroom, brushed my teeth and washed my face before I open the door and go to the more spacious section of the Camper. There, I saw out of the window a house that seemed extremely cozy. 'Is this where Hank lives now? It's nice' I think to myself as I grab a bowl and open the cupboard to get out the dry fruit and cereal. I open up the medium fridge and get out the milk and ad I ate, I wondered how this Camper was such a perfect mobile home.
My mind drifted onto many things as I ate quietly. How life in Detroit only seemed like yesterday, being able to travel anywhere my heart desires and finally Connor. Though he may be an Android with love not being something in his software, I'm happy he shared that love with me. Sure it won't be forever, but I'd like to cherish the time I have with him now. As things get deeper into the future, new things came out which was astonishing as I grew up in the middle of a generation where things were simple.
Just last week they came out with another product to change the world forever. I don't know much about it,but it allows humans to be able to be immortalized like Androids. It's a pretty cool concept, but it costs and arm and a leg in order to obtain it. Just as getting cremated would have cost two decades ago. As all these different things popped up in my head, I heard a knock on the door of the camper.
I peek out of the window, seeing a woman at the door with a lovely yellow sun dress on. I put on pants and go to the door, opening it slightly and smiling at the woman. "Hello" I say with a smile and she smiles back. "Hello, I'm Carmen. Are you (Name)?" she asked and I nodded. "Indeed I am, what can I do for you?" I ask and she takes a moment before she answers. "Hank said you are a good person. Very good daughter for Hank" she said, slightly stumbling over a few words. "Yes, he is like a second father. You know Hank?" I ask and she laughs.
"Yes, he is boyfriend. A very good man" she said happily and I smiled. She didn't seem fluent in English so I used a bit of my Spanish skills. "Tú no hablas Inglés a menudo?" I ask her and she shakes her head. "No, no hablas Inglés a menudo" she responds. "puedo ayudarte, si? No?" I say, already taking a liking to her personality. She seemed like a sweet woman with a good heart and if she's with Hank I am sure she is treating him very good.
"Sí, sí! Puedes ayudarte mi inglés hablando!" Carmen replied. "Where is your boyfriend?" Carmen asked, tilting her head slightly and adjusting her sun dress a bit. "He is-" "I am right here" Connor said from behind me, starling me and almost causing me to jump ten feet into the air. I turned around, smiling as he came towards the door to greet Carmen.
"Hola Carmen" Connor greeted and she waved at him. "Hank is awake" she said and I looked to Connor before speaking. "We'll get dressed and then we'll be right out." I respond and she walks away with a pep in her step. I close the door, smiling at how much of a nice woman she is.
"Ready to begin today's activities?" Connor asked as I flopped into his arms and hugged him. "Yeah, I'm excited to see some sights and experience some of the cool things here" I respond, slightly inhaling and smelling Connor's faint scent of a mixture of new car and cherries. It was a calming scent- a clean one at that and I was glad about it. Back at the station, the suffocating smell of testosterone and male ball sacks was all I could smell. Most likely due to the fact that there were a lot more male officers and detectives than there were females. Human females at that.
I pull out of the hug, noticing how much of a shower was needed in my situation and my fave twisted into discomfort at the idea of not showering for longer than four days. "I need a shower" I mumble as I search through containers of clothing and pull out a neat little summer dress that I liked.
