CHAPTER TWO AKA BROKEN HEARTS

"Where's Lauren? She said she'd be there in 5 a half hour ago." Jughead let out.

His stress was practically radiating off his body, causing stress to fall over all of the friends. Betty had stopped trying to assure him, because now, even she was starting to doubt that Lauren was okay, the girl always was on time, that was something she would never change. m

Something felt wrong with the whole situation, everybody knew Lauren wouldn't bail on Archie when he needed her so they couldn't seem to understand why it was taking her so long to make it back to the hospital. Jughead and Betty had already returned from Pop's and Archie and Veronica were on their way, so the silence and impatience was not helping the stress that was building up in their chest.

The thoughts and stress was starting to pain them physically, Betty was sick to her stomach whereas Jughead was freaking out, bouncing his leg up and down in attempt to grow calm and hopeful but it wasn't working anymore.

"I can't take it anymore, I'm gonna go check on her." Jughead abruptly stated, grabbing his helmet and glancing at Betty who stood up along with him and gulped.

"Just be careful, she'll be fine."

"Keep, your phone close, I'll text you."

****

Time felt so slow, when you await death, it felt like days had gone by and Lauren Davis was still lying in a pool of her own blood, pain coming and going like the wind around her empty apartment. Tears clouded her vision and she had no energy to wipe them away, since it felt like the world was staring to go against her because just as she was starting to come to turn with her life and enjoying it, she was dying.

At first the pain was like a burning sensation that wouldn't go away but slowly and slowly it was becoming hard to breathe let alone move, not only did she feel like there were a tonne of weights on her chest, but even when it rises pain flowed through her body, and eventually Lauren was struggling to keep her own eyes open.

It pained her to imagine herself on the floor in a pool of blood for so long, with no effort to get help, but the bullet in her abdomen was ripping her body with every breathe, which resulted in her screaming for help, but nobody heard her, either that or they refused to help her even after the two bullets left the gun.

It surprised Lauren that she hadn't stopped breathing yet, she must have been in that state for at least 15 minutes, blood flowing out of her effortlessly.
