CHAPTER FIFTEEN, AGGRESSIVE CONVERSATIONS

"Are you freaking kidding me, Archie?" Lauren shouted as she barged through the Andrew's residence early in the evening. Jughead and Mason had dropped Lauren off at Archie's while they tried to crack the code with Betty.

Archie stood up from the couch quickly, confused and annoyed as he had just had an argument with his father, he made his way towards the girl who gave him an angry look whilst running a panicked hand through her hair. Lauren Davis was practically fuming by the end of the day, she had kept it in for the whole day but her stress was radiating off her. The thought of a traumatized teen with a gun scared her, especially knowing who he was and what he was capable of.

"What the hell, Lauren?" Archie quickly questioned, standing opposite her, forehead creased.

Lauren rubbed her forehead, stressed as she continued with the rage stare. "You, Archie. What the hell were you thinking when you decided to show up to the Southside, practically begging for trouble and waved a gun in my friends faces?"

The interrogatory statement only seemed to confuse the boy more, he shook his head, holding his hands up. "Wait, what? what are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the fact that you went to the Southside on some sick quest to find the Black Hood and ended up threatening Serpents who are out for your blood!" Lauren yelled, taking a large intake of air as she glared at him, resting her hands on her hips.

"How do you know about that?" Archie asked, squinting his eyes at her.

Lauren let out a huff, now slightly calm, she closed her eyes. "Okay, I know I didn't tell you but they were all good reasons, I'm a Serpent and those people were my friends, Archie, they're my family."

"You're a part of those thugs?" Archie fumed, looking down at her, disbelief evident on his face. "They're probably the ones who did this to you!"

Lauren's eyes widened in disbelief, a scoff escaping her lips as her eyes glazed over, looking at the almost unrecognizable boy sitting in front of him. "First Betty and now you? Archie, what proof do you any of you have that this work is from the Southside? You said that about Jason's murderer too but guess what, you were wrong! Hell, you're the one with a gun in your possession yet you still blame the other for it? When the fuck will you grow up, Archie?"

Archie's jaw fell open, eyes widened in shock and mouth spluttering for a response, he couldn't find, he had rarely ever seen Lauren so angry, a handful of times, this seemed strange, a part of him connected it to the Southside immediately. He narrowed his eyes at her, wanting to grow soft but instead his ego got the best of him. "You're eventually gonna forget who your real friends are."

"Right." Lauren stated with a breathy chuckle, actually finding the whole situation humorous. "I know you're going through a lot, Archie, God I know it sucks but it doesn't give you the right to act out like a psychopath."
