Jade sat on her bed, tossing a stuffed animal into the air and catching it. The school days had gone on the exact same for two weeks except for when she got in a fight with a kid who had been messing with Will. Jade also found out that Billy is an asshole whenever she isn't around. She saw him try to run over her brother and his friends with his car. Jade rolled out of bed and decided to go for a walk. She wore her jacket, sunglasses, black jean shorts with fishnets underneath, and a Scorpions shirt tucked in.
"Dustin! I'm going for a walk! You wanna take your bike?"
"Sure!" Dustin ran out of his room and grabbed his jacket and hat. Dustin ran out to his bike and Jade grabbed a leash. She had bought a black, studded leash for Beverly's Husky. Jade went across the yard to Beverly's house and opened the door.
"Bevvy, I'm stealing Nanook!" Nanook came running to the door. Jade hooked him up and ran into the road with Dustin. They walked on the road for a few hours just talking about what had been happening between the two. Apparently Nancy broke up with Steve at one of his party's and he started hanging out with Dustin.
"You're hanging out with a high schooler that isn't me?"
"Yeah but you don't count because you're my sister."
"I'm the only one that should count, dork."
"No way," Dustin laughed. "You're dating him."
"What?"
"The one that bullies us. The girl he's around is the one I like, so if y'all get married, and we get married, that'd be like incest, right?"
"We aren't dating and I haven't talked to him because of him bullying you."
"He likes you. Most of the time for guys like him he'd just give up because you wouldn't sleep with him but I think he genuinely likes you."
