Jade knocked on her neighbor's door with tears rolling down her cheeks. Alex opened the door.

"I messed up."

He pulled Jade into a hug and cradled her head in his hands. She cried into his neck for what she thought was forever and when she pulled away her makeup was on his collar. "I ruined your shirt," she sniffed.

"Fuck shirts," Alex smiled and took Jade's hand, leading her down the hall. He stopped at the bathroom door. "We'll be in your room!"

"We?"

"I've got Jade with me!" Beverly had a towel wrapped around her pale body and she was drying her hair with another when she opened the door. Beverly put her hair towel on the floor and they walked to her room.

Alex sat on the bed with his legs crossed and Jade using his thigh as a pillow, thinking about how she must seem like a crybaby. He messed around with her hair and Beverly locked her door. She released the towel and pulled on her underwear, Alex's grey shirt he was wearing beforehand, and some jean shorts. None of them felt awkward because they'd known each other for so long and it really wasn't that big of a deal, considering they had to shower in the locker room at school. Beverly climbed over Jade and sat next to Al, resting her temple on his shoulder and looking over at Jade.

"What happened, sweetie?"

"The asshole was only supposed to talk so I got in his death trap with him."

"Did he try to f-"

"No, Alex, he just drove faster than I'm used to and didn't even look at the road so I could answer his fucking survey."

"How are you the one that messed up? He messed up for doing that to you and I will get him back for it on Monday."

"Don't make things worse, he already messed with my brother. I messed up because I trusted him but for some reason I don't hate him for it, I hate me for it."

"Sweetie, I know you have a crush on him but I think you may love him."

"How can I love someone if I've never even kissed them and barely even hung out with them?"

"Did he ask you if you love him?"

"He asked me why I've been hanging around Jonathan and if I have feelings for him. "More than a fuck, more than a friend." What does that have to do with anything?"

"I think he feels the same for you as you do him."

"I just have a crush on him. You watch too many romantic films."
