Justin was sat at Clay's desk, staring out the window. It was currently 4:27 in the morning, and he could just make out the moon, which was getting lower in the sky.

His head was rested on his upright knuckles as he sighed. He didn't get much sleep the night before as he was worried about Clay. But Clay hadn't even so much as stirred in his sleeping state. He was calm and peaceful as his shallow breaths hit Justin's neck. He hadn't even flinched as Justin got up to get a glass of water.

His eyes flickered from the window, to Clay, then back to the window. He was thinking about what had happened, and how distressed Clay had been. It had to be some sort of PTSD or something like that. Justin had never looked into mental disorders or anything, he never felt the need to.

He wanted Clay to know that he was there for him. That he cared, and would protect him. Because he would. Clay was special to him, and Justin knew it was too early for love, but that's just what it could have been. Love. He loves Clay. It didn't matter in what way, he loved the younger boy.

Justin's thoughts were shortly interrupted by shuffling on the bed as Clay flipped to face in Justin's direction. His face scrunched up as his eyes slowly opened, taking a moment to focus. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. When he uncovered his eyes, he saw Justin sitting in his desk chair, staring at him with a look of adoration.

"Why are you looking at me?" Clay asks, slightly grumpy. Justin smiles at him before shaking his head.

"You're cute," he said, making Clay blush. The younger boy sat up, and stretched his back.

"You doing alright?" Justin asked. Clay looked at him and squinted.

"I just woke up," he said with a bit of sass. Justin put his hand up to his chest and pretended to be hurt.

"Well, excuuuse me for caring," he said, gasping. Clay rolled his eyes.

"Why are we up so early? We don't even have school," Clay says, turning to face the wall and closing his eyes.

"I want donuts," Justin replied, not telling him about his concern. Clay laughed lazily, and moved around to get more comfortable.

"Then take the car and go get some. I'm sleeping in," he says. He buries his head deeper into the pillow.

"I want you to come with me," Justin says, doing a puppy dog face even though Clay couldn't see it. Clay shook his head.

"No, go by yourself, I'm tired," Clay says, yawning.

"Please?"

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"No."

"Yes."

"Hah! Kay, let's go," Justin exclaims, standing up. Clay sits up in confusion.

"Wait. No. You tricked me." He accused, furrowing his eyebrows as Justin pulled on his shoes.

"That I did," Justin said, smiling. "Now get up."

Clay crosses his arms and puts his chin up, looking away from Justin. "No." Justin looks at him for a second, before scooping him up in his arms, ignoring his protests, and carrying him out to the car as quietly as he can.

"I hate you," Clay says, leaning his head against the passenger side window. Justin smiles at him triumphantly before tapping Clay's hand.

"Aww. I love you too sweetie," he says, turning on the car and backing out of the driveway. Clay scoffs, and rolls his eyes. He turns on the radio and an unknown pop song comes on, offending his ears, but he doesn't bother changing it.

Justin pulls into the nearest Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru, and rolls his window down to order.

"Welcome to Dunkin' Donuts, what can I get for you?" A cheery voice rings out from an old speaker, crackling as if it's ready to see its last days.

"Hi, uh, can I get one dozen variety donuts?" Justin calls into the speaker. He hears tapping on the other side.

"Anything else?" The voice asks.

Justin looks to Clay, who's zoning out in the passengers seat. "Anything else Clay?" He asks, startling the boy.

"Um, I'll just have a medium vanilla latte," he says. Justin let's out a humored scoff.

"You're such a basic bitch," Justin says, before ordering his and Clay's drinks. Clay glares at him, but doesn't comment back.

Justin pulls up to the window, and pays the lady, who in return gives him his change and their order. He pulls out of the drive-thru and starts driving.

"Um, this isn't the way to the house," Clay says, confused as to where Justin was going. Justin quickly glances over at him, before taking a sip of his coffee.

"I know. I'm taking us somewhere," he says, placing the coffee down. Clay gives him a confused look, but doesn't say anything.

Justin continues driving for about another ten minutes, before they arrive at a spot on a small ledge, overlooking the bridge and river. Justin unbuckles his seatbelt, and grabs the donut box off of Clay's lap, before getting out of the car and climbing on the hood.

He looks back through the window, and gestures to Clay, who's still slightly confused, to join him. Clay opens the door, and steps out. "I don't even have shoes on," he says, before taking careful steps towards the front of the car. Justin smiles at him as he takes a spot next to him.

Justin opens the box of donuts, and lets Clay choose a donut, which is chocolate glazed with sprinkles, before taking a Bavarian cream. They eat their donuts and sip their drinks while chatting, watching as the sky turns all different shades of pink, purple and orange.

Once they finish the whole box, which didn't take very long seeing as though they hadn't eaten dinner the previous night, they sat there on the car, overlooking the city, as Clay lays his head on Justin's shoulder, and they just enjoy each other's presence.
