Chapter Twenty-Five

The air was knocked out of me as I was hit once again. My vision went blurry as I dropped to my knees. Was this all the power I had remaining in me?

"Our Guild!" I looked up hearing Canas cry. "What the heck are you doing?"

The ghosts had disappeared and formed something else, now they were trying to destroy our guild. The place where we take care of each other.

"Shoot it down!"

"Stop it no matter what!"

Cries of anger, sorrow, and pain filled the air.

"Stop it!"

"Cana!"

"Our guild is..."

"Cana stay back!"

Flames enveloped me as I faced it. An enemy to the back and an enemy to the front. Who was the bigger issue at the moment?

I moved, pushing past my guild mates, knowing just what I had to do. Shouts could be heard from behind, yelling for me to stop. I could also hear Red keep pace with me, waiting for the moment to attack.

Kicking against the ground I jumped into the air, placing my hands in front of my mouth before blowing fire out. I watched, as it turned, my magic annoying it only enough for it to swing one arm at me, knocking me backwards. A gasp escaped me as I slammed into the ground, the air getting knocked out of me again.

Struggling back up, I felt as Reds blade sliced into my arms, a cry escaping me. I fall to my knees, feeling weaker then before and almost out of magic. I needed fire at that moment but knew just how likely that would happen.

"Beau!"

I smirked, looking at Cana who had tears running down her face. Was she really that worried about the guild. I would stop the monster no matter what.

They haven't seen what a real Dragon Slayer could do just yet.

"Stay down." Red ordered, his sword stopping at the base of my neck.

"You'll have to take this fight more seriously then if you want that, Red." I said, standing up on my feet feeling as the blade moved with me. "You're not giving it your all."

He nodded, withdrawing his sword. "Lets see if you really can protect those close to you now the, Beau." He said, watching me with cold calculating eyes. "I might just let you win then."

"You talk to much." I mumbled, turning from the person who couldn't decided rather I was his enemy or night to the real threat. "Lets see just how strong it really is."

Each time I attacked it I was thrown backwards before it returned to destroying our guild. My magic kept coming and going, showing me just how much I had used. Telling me that I needed to find a way to refuel again.

Just when I had been about to get ready to move again I watched as our guild collapsed after one more punch. I had failed in stopping the attack, failed in stopping the monster. Cries filled the air from everyone else around me.

Cana cries were the loudest out of everyone's.

I felt as my magic out lashed from within me, the fire spreading out in a wide range as my cries filled the air with everyone else. Natsu might have won the battle but we still lost part of the place we had been fighting for. Now all we can hope for is that Lucys okay.
