When You Fall (ON HOLD)

On the Plane

Once the plane had taken off, I decided to ask Morgan more about Shane.

    "So" I started, "you said Shane is nice?" She nods.

    "Oh yeah! He's so sweet, you'll love him. And his friends are amazing too! Andrew, that's his cameraman," Oh right, she said Shane is a youtuber. I nod as she continues. "He's kinda quiet, but he's so sweet and genuine. And his laugh is contagious, it's adorable." She beams.

    "Well that's awesome..." I'm not really sure what else to say but she interrupts my thoughts.

    "I don't even know where to begin with Garrett." She laughed. I looked at her and shook my head.

    "Well, you've already told me that he's funny, and that we'd get along great, though I'm not sure what that means exactly." She laughs again.

    "Well, he's a lot like me, your bestest friend ever" she says winking as I laugh.

    "You're my only friend" I say wiping tears from my eyes and sticking my tongue out at her.

    "Well, anyways," she continues, sticking her tongue out at me in response to my statement. "He's a lot like you too. In fact, I think your birthdays are within a week of each other." She explains. "So basically he's like the perfect combination of us and I don't think Shane knows what he's agreeing to" She snickers. Well, this will be interesting. A combination of us? Who knew that was possible?

-Plane lands-

Hey Mom, Hey Dad. Plane just landed. I'll call when we get to the house. Still at the airport so can't really talk on the phone yet. I Love You.

I hit send on the message and then notice a new message from Ryland.

Ry: Hey! So we have a MAJOR surprise for Morgan. I need you to stall her for a few minutes please
Me: Sure, no problem. My luggage "mysteriously disappeared"😏
Ry: Thanks Em. You're the best.
Me: I know

I look up at Morgan and then pretend to be confused.

"Hey Morg, do you see my luggage? I think I've seen this one suitcase come around twice now and I haven't seen my bags" I lie. She rolls her eyes as she steps aside to show that she had already removed them.

"You're an idiot" she laughs as she hands me my smaller bag.

"Maybe, but I'm your idiot. You're stuck with me." I laugh and then notice a restroom sign. Perfect way to stall more. "Okay Morg, I need to pee. Stay with my bags, please?" She nods and sits on a chair as I walk towards the bathroom.
"Hurry! I need to go too and Ryland and Shane are waiting!" I walk in and lock the door to the stall, pulling my phone out.

Me: Ry, how much longer do you need? I've got Morgan waiting on me in the bathroom, lol.
Ry: We're ready. Come out whenever.
Me: Okay, on our way.
