What is My Life?

"Do it!" Shane urged, Molly, Ryland, and Garrett agreeing. I looked to Andrew, wanting his opinion.

"Andrew, what do you think? Should I text him?" I study his face, not able to understand what he was thinking.

"Sure." He answers, his cheeks turning red as he looks away from me. Why is he acting so weird?

I shrug and pull my phone out, inputting the number from the napkin. I type a message and hit send, causing everyone to freak out. We decide to head to Urban Outfitters so that Molly can pick an outfit for Shane. As we're walking, I hear my phone go off, and cheat for a minute, taking my goggles off to look at my phone, my heart pounding as a see a message from Ethan. That was fast...

Ethan:
Hey! I'm glad you decided to text me ☺️ So how's being blind going?

I laugh and type a reply as we walk into Urban.

Me:
Hey! It's going well, I'm currently watching my blind friend pick out an outfit for my sighted friend who's pretending to be blind... what is my life? 😂

I shriek internally, texting Morgan.

Me:
AHHHHH MORGAN! THIS CUTE GUY AT STARBUCKS GAVE ME HIS NUMBER

Morgan:
AHHH THATS AWESOME!! Did you text him? What's his name? Do the guys know??

Me:
His name is Ethan, and yes the guys know, they were with me. They're the reason I texted him lol. Though Andrew seems to be a little upset or something, I can't tell, he's just not laughing as much as he usually does.

Morgan:
He's probably just a little wary of this guy, you know he's super protective of us. I'm coming back tomorrow, and you have to tell me everything!! And get a selfie of this guy so I can see what he looks like!

Me:
Okay, will do. See you tomorrow, love you 💖

Morgan:
Love you too 💖

I close my texts from Morgan and look up at the guys, Garrett is currently messing around with Shane, making him almost run into Garrett's hand every time he moves. I stifle a laughter and walk over by Andrew.

"You okay?" I ask as he looks down at me.

"Yep, just a little tired is all" he turns back to the guys and I frown. Something's wrong. But he obviously doesn't want to talk about it right now, I won't push it. I pull out my phone again and look at Ethan's message.

Ethan:
Eventful, it sounds like, lol. I hope this isn't too forward, but I was wondering if you would want to go out sometime? 😬

Me:
I would love to! I'm free tomorrow night?

Ethan:
Sounds good, want to meet at the same Starbucks around 7?

Me:
Sure! See you then ☺️

"EMILY HAS A DATE!" I jump as Garrett shouts from behind me. He must have read over my shoulder... jerk.

"That's awesome!" Molly encourages.

"AHHHH" Shane shouts, earning more looks from other patrons.

"Okay you guys need to stop screaming before they actually call the cops on the weirdos in blind giggles screaming and filming in the store" I roll my eyes and laugh. Andrew turns to me.
"Congratulations, I'm happy for you! But I need to meet this guy.  He better not be a jerk or not treat you right.." he trails off. I guess Morgan was right, he was just being protective.
