Chapter 7

When i got back to school, it was hard catching up cause i have missed a lot. I have to literally beg Asmee to tutor me cause am not quite comfortable with any of my course mate apart from my roomys. I have to persuade her before she agrees. Asmee have been tutoring me for almost a week but i always end up losing track and we have to take a break. It's really hard trying to get to know all these things. Guess that's why studying is hard.

Today's own was different, we were almost through with what i have missed when Asmee's childhood friend who just visit Abuja wants them to reunite. And that's how am left alone today. Well yhu ever since I've been back to the do in dormitory Munira has always been out and if am correct, she has stop sleeping here. Just thinking about her she walks in "Azee, how have yhu been?" Munira asked keeping her bag and laying on her bed.
"Still alive, yhu?"
"Am fascinating, i can fly now if i had wing" she said pouting and closing her eyes tiredly
"I would have join yhu but yhu don't have wings" i said chuckling.
"By the way, where have yhu been? Its been long i see yhu around" I asked
"Just having fun, i can't really be reading all the time. Yhu see am not like yhu, if i try doing it the way yhu do it my head will explode." Munira said
"That's not what i mean. Where do yhu sleep now, and yhu have stop attending lectures"
"Azee, please let me rest. Am really tired now, let's talk about it some other time"
"Okay then, some other time"
She soon felt into a deep slumber, i have to agree with her cause she kept on snoring so loud.
"Salam alaikum" Asmee said walking in.
"Waalaikasalam, so where is she?" I asked her.
"Who?"
"Your childhood friend, I've been waiting for yhu guys"
"Actually its a he and we just talk a little and left"
"Oh, are yhu sure there is something yhu aren't telling me"
"No secret between us, i know and he's really just a friend"
"Okay, if yhu say so"
"When did she come back"Asmee asked frowning her face
" just some minutes after yhu left"
"Ohhh, i see. Do yhu know she's dating that hunky guy"
"Which hunky guy, to be precise"
"The guy with a husky voice, remember him. The one that come to us when we were at the cafe......."
"OMG, that's cool. When did all this happened?"
"Yhu weren't around yhu know"
"Oh true, and just agree he's hunky"
"Of cause he is, i just don't like his attitude"
"I see"

By the time Munira waked up she saw us sitted in Chinese style staring at her."what the hell girls" she said frightene
"Waiting for yhu to wake up" Asmee said
"Why on earth will yhu do that?" She said wandering.
"Well remember, yhu said you'll only tell me about how yhu end up with Mr Husky voice if Azee is around" Asmee said calling him husky instead of hunky which make me stare at her while she just shrugging
"Oh yhu really scared me, let refresh myself first" she said carrying the kettle and walked out.

"Well yhu know I've been crushing on him since the moment i know him. He only notice me as a friend or sister. It was love at first sight. I try getting every opportunity i see just to be by  his side. We became friends and share some many things together. I became  his consultant, every time he got in a fight with his girls, he comes to me seeking advice. Though i love him, i still tell him to do what's right. A time come and i was getting tired and annoyed. He dates so many girls and i was starting to think that am the ugliest person on earth that's why he won't spare me a glance" she stopped and sip some water. She then continued.
" A day came and decided am done with giving him advise, am even done being his friend or sister whatever it is he see me. I ignore his calls and every time i sees him i'll change my way. This continued to happened for days and he finally give up and stopped chasing, though i wanted him to continue and mend things the way they were before or like me, i still keep up with my attitude. One  day when we were going to lectures together with yhu girls i saw him sited in our venue so i excuse myself while yhu girls continued walking in, yhu probably didn't notice. He followed me and well we talked and he end up asking me out under the condition that he won't date any girl again " She end her story.
"Come on don't give us that ending, tell us what yhu guys talked about" i said to her.
"No,yhu guys will turn deaf after hearing it and we don't want that. Do we?" Munira said smirking
"Yhu meany" Asmee said glaring at her.
"Awwn am in love with your story" i said smiling
"Me too"

Its was midnight when Munira's phone wakes us up.
"Ya Allah, am not done sleeping.  Just pick up the call or silence your phone. Its given me headache" Asmee said groaning
"Sorry" as she picked up the call and excuse herself while Asmee got back to sleep. I checked my phone to see its just 3:09am, i hissed and went out to pee. When i got back, Munira is still not back.

I was just back from getting my bath when Munira walks in covering her face. She quickly got on bed and turned her face to the other side were we can't see her.
"Are yhu alright?" I asked her but she just ignored me
"What happened?, who was the person that calls yhu few hours ago?" Its now Asmee's turned to be ignored.
"Munira we are talking to yhu. What's wrong ne wai?" I yelled a little.
"Wai Ku baku kyale mutum ne (won't yhu leave me alone) i have been ignoring yhu but yhu still questioning. Ku mayyune hln, en lakelake kawai(are yhu witches?)" She said hissing and not  turning to face us. We stood there staring at her with our mouth open.
"Allah ya baki hakuri" Asmee said and grab her hijab and bag before saying "in zama xakiyi ana xagin ki toh nikinga tafiyata,sai kinxo(if yhu are going to stay there while she insult yhu, am taking my leave)" she said walking out
"Wait for me dai, let me get dressed" i said quickly applying Vaseline and got dressed. We walked out of the room and went for our lectures.

We ignored the topic about what happened earlier the whole time until we saw Mr Husky voice walking in the cafe with a girl holding her waist.
"I think this what got Munira angry this morning" i said while averting my eyes from them and continued digging up my plate.
"Me too, but that doesn't give her the write to insult us the way she did" Asmee said still angry by the way she was insulted this morning.
"I never thought she'll insult us like this but what hurt me the most is knowing that its because of a man" i said sad.
"I feel like cutting off her tongue that she used saying those harsh words to us"
I have never seen Asmee this angry
"Violent are we" i said jokingly trying to light up her mood.
"I really mean it Azee stop joking"
"Okay, but please ju........" I was cut off by my phone that just start ringing. It was Yaya Jafar, i excuse myself and picked up his call.

"Salamualaikum, good afternoon "I said greeting him.
" Waalaikasalam, autarmu. How are yhu " he asked.
"Alhamdullilah, am good. How is work and Yaya Yusrah?"
"All good alhamdulillah"
"Masha Allah, we'll be coming to Abuja on Friday insha Allah"
"That's great, i'll be at Yaya Saif house maybe before yhu arrive."
"Or yhu should stay at school while i'll pick yhu up on saturday."
"Okay then. I have to go bye" i said as i spot Mr Husky voice and some other girls smoking.
"Okay bye. And take care please"
"I will insha Allah and yhu too" I end the call while staring at them.

This the end of this chapter, and also were i stopped before my book got deleted though i have change few things. Jazakallah khair
