"Good evening, Miss Mercy." Commander Morrison's voice spoke from behind her, causing the lady to jump slightly in her skin. He gave a warm smile to the angelic being.

"-ah! Good evening." She smiled back, being able to see her head commander in a less formal atmosphere. "Was there something you wanted?"

Behind him, a certain Japanese Knight walked to join the two.
Morrison chuckled softly, "No no, I just wanted to thank you for... For using your magic, or whatever it is, to help the Knights of the Ziegler kingdom. Do you mind if I ask why you came to us? All my men believe you were sent from the heavens."

"Haha, oh my, no." Her laugh was light, something quite appealing to it. Well, that's what Genji Shimada thought at least. "I was not sent by the heavens, unless they are named 'Angela Ziegler.' That's who sent me. I'm quite close to her, although our friendship has been a secret."

Genji interjected, "well, I'm surprise even I didn't know of you then."
He turned towards his commander "Jack, you told me earlier there was news I should be aware of?"

He nodded. "Yes, that's correct Shimada." His eyes focused on him. "During the fight, I was given a... Paper." Jack Morrison took a slightly crinkled piece of paper and handed it to his companion.

Mercy, only being able to watch and listen, heard a gasp. She looked towards the paper in hand and had to hold back a gasp of her own. It was a picture of her, as Angela. But what was disturbing about the picture was the fact that three tears went down the picture.
"Talon.." She heard herself say. It was low and quiet, almost a whisper. However, she knew both males heard her as she saw the two of them nod in agreement.
"Commander, Knight. I know this isn't my place to say this, but... The Princess should not be guarded constantly. She'll probably want to just hide without others around."

"Mercy. I hear you and I respect your opinion, as you've helped us greatly today. But. I will protect Angela. Even if it costs me my life." His voice was certain.

Angela had just finished climbing up the ladder and back into her room by the time a knock came to her door. It had been a long day as Mercy, and she was ready for a long night as Angela.
She held her hand on the cold knob, "Ah, good evening Genji."

"Good evening, Milady." Genji's eyes scanned the room for any signs of a possible intruder. Talon was quite sneaky, especially their member known as 'Sombra'. "May I come in?"

She opened the door wider and stepped to the side to allow him access to her room. "Of course. Uhmm. You can sit anywhere if you'd like."

He flashed a warm smile. "It's quite alright. I may be tired but I am still capable of standing."
Genji began to approach her, but stopped himself short, a faraway look plastered on to his face. "I deeply apologize Milady. I will be going now, have a good night." He turned towards the door.

Although she knew most of the time she'd be playing the role of 'Mercy', she was still quite scared. Scared of if Talon did end up getting to her when she wasn't prepared.
It didn't matter that she wouldn't even be alone most of the time, she was still allowed to be frightened.

She reached out and grabbed Genji's wrist, stopping him before he could reach the handle. "Wait."

"Milady?" He questioned. "Is everything alright?"

Angela looked at him softly. "Yes, I'm sorry." She let go of his wrist hesitantly. "Everything is alright. Have a good night, my faithful knight."

He looked down at her before pulling her into a tight embrace. His hand ran through her hair softly and in a comforting manner. "Talon won't lay a finger on you Milady."
Genji Shimada held her closer when he felt a small shudder come from her. Angela felt like she would be found eventually, whether as mercy or herself.

"Sir G-"

"Just Genji is fine. You've known me for long enough, Milady." He gave her a warm smile although he knew she was unable to see it.

She nodded while her head was in the crook of his shoulder. "Genji.. Would you like to spend the night with me?"

If only the blonde could see his face. It was of pure shock. His angel was asking for him to stay? "If you wish me to stay, of course."
He pulled her to where he was able to look at her, instantly becoming mesmerized by the brilliance of her blue eyes.
"But I must warn you, sleeping with a cyborg may not be so comfortable." He gave a slight laugh.

Angela looked up at him, "I wouldn't mind. As long as it's you. I'd rather not sleep with any other cyborgs." She giggled before pulling away.
"You have to go back to the battle in the morning, let's get some rest, yeah?"

Genji smiled, taking ahold of her hand. He led her to her bed. "Yeah, let's."

Gomen.
I did not mean for the chapter to be so short!

I wasn't sure how to end
The chapter off.
So that's just how it is.

However!
I have been plotting out a bit of the story for waaayyy later.
(Hopefully I don't end up scrapping it all.)

Have a good day,
Wandering Souls!
