It turned out that I wasn't going to be seeing Alex on Monday as we ended up meeting on Sunday instead.
I was currently sat at the dining room at Alex's house. Alex was to my left, Penny Turner was sat directly opposite me and David Turner sat next to her.
I had arrived at Alex's house in the morning, a few hours after waking up upon receiving a message from him inviting me over. My outfit consisted of a pair of white high top converse, denim short shorts which exposed my long pale legs and a black "Oasis" shirt. Alex commented on my choice of top when he opened the door saying, "Oh you like Oasis too?"
"No I just wore this shirt for the sake of it." I rolled my eyes.
"Good morning to you too." Alex laughed.

"Alex hasn't really said anything about you Charlotte," Penny shot Alex a look as we ate her brilliant Sunday roast, "So maybe tell us a bit about yourself." She smiled at me softly.
"Well... my name's Charlotte Baker, I'm from London but I'm staying here with my aunt and uncle whilst my parents go on a journey around the world. They're kinda like hippies," I giggled quietly making Penny and David smile, "My birthday is May 25th, I really enjoy art and drawing and stuff like tha-"
"Oh she's absolutely brilliant at drawing mum. You should really see her stuff!" Alex enthusiastically cut me off.
"I'm really not that g-"
"Her sketchbook's upstairs, I'm gonna go get it." And with that Alex departed from the table and ran up the stairs quickly.
I didn't bother protesting and instead sat looking down at my lap as we waited in an awkward silence for Alex's return.
He ran back down the stairs after half a minute and went round to his parents' side of the table, holding my open sketchbook. "Look at these Mum. They're fook- they're really good." Alex glanced at me with wide eyes at his slip up, making me giggle quietly.
Penny and David assessed my work quietly with small smiles. "You're really talented Charlotte." David spoke making me look up at him and smile as Alex sat back down in his seat with a thud, placing my sketchbook in my lap.
"Thanks a lot Mister Turner." I mumbled and blushed slightly.
"I loved t' drawings of Alex especially," Penny chuckled, "You actually made him look good."
"Thanks mum." Alex rolled his eyes with a small smile before eating a forkful of peas. An awkward silence descended onto the table after this so I decided to speak up.
"Uhhh... me and Alex actually met two weeks ago in the school library. I saved myself a seat but he and Matt moved my bag and sat in my space." I smirked up at Alex who sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Why are you being a dick'ead at school Alex?" David frowned slightly making me burst out laughing, the members of the Turner family watching me in confusion.
I wrapped my arms around my stomach as I laughed loudly with my head down.
"You alreyt Lottie?" Alex inquired and I heard the smile in his voice.
"It's just...it's just the bluntness...I've never heard anyone refer to their child as...that word before." I had calmed down and was now giggling quietly.
"Welcome to Sheffield." Alex said quietly before laughing, Penny and David joining in not long after.

I sat cross legged on the floor of Alex's room with the boy in question sitting opposite me softly strumming his Olympic White Stratocaster. He had just come to the end of playing and singing Wonderwall.
"That's all the acoustic tracks I know I'm afraid." Alex smiled sadly.
"You played three songs."
He shrugged. "'s all I know."
I sighed and shook my head with a smile. Alex got up and placed the guitar on its rack before sitting down in front of me again and smiling at me. That's how we stayed for a couple seconds - sat on the floor smiling at each other. But then we both started to move in. I closed my eyes and tilted my head and knew what was coming. His lips fitted mine perfectly and his tongue then somehow found its way into my mouth. He placed his hand on my cheek and the kiss began to get more heated. I pulled away and pushed Alex down onto the floor with a small smirk before straddling him and kissing him softly. He placed his hands on my hips softly making me pull away from the kiss slightly to moan quietly.
Footsteps. Someone was walking up the stairs. I quickly pulled away and got up, off of Alex. Luckily Alex also heard the incoming threat and didn't protest, standing up and going over to his guitar and pretending to fiddle with it.
The door opened. "It's getting rather late Charlotte..." David Turner said from the door.
I looked up at him and nodded with a smile. "I'll get my stuff. Thank you so much." I said quietly as I stood up and picked up my sketchbook. David smiled at me before closing the door and walking downstairs. I placed my sketchbook into my small bag which I slung over my right shoulder. I turned around to see Alex smiling childishly at me.
"That was fun." He said a little above a whisper as he approached me.
"Yeah...until we almost got caught." I laughed dryly.
"What are we?" Alex asked, making him sound very vulnerable and innocent which made my heart ache.
"I...I think we're dating?" I looked up at him and raised one eyebrow quizzically as I smiled.
"You think?"
"Well, we're only dating if you want us to." I shrugged and looked back down at my feet.
Unnervingly, Alex remained quiet for a few seconds. "I'd rather like that."
I looked back up at him and smiled. "I'd like that too."
Alex nodded. I placed my hand on his cheek and got on my tip toes and connected our lips, Alex's hands finding my hips once more, making me smile against his lips.
