"I have found my mate: Alpha Grimaldi." I voiced to the pack. I was currently standing on the stage near the training grounds. I had my mate right beside me. Murmurs erupted from my pack mates. I could tell they were all extremely surprised.

"This means, soon, I will be leaving for Europe, leaving my position as pack trainer available. Anyone interested, meet me in the training grounds in 20 minutes." I finalized. I turned around and started walking towards the training grounds with my mate besides me.

"How will you pick your successor?" Asked my mate, who appeared to be genuinely curious.

"They'll fight against me." I explain. "Whoever manages to hit me once, is our winner."

"What if you get hit more than once? Fuck that, no one's touching you." He was starting to get really agitated.

I laughed, a sincere laugh. He looked adorable.
But, his worry was misplaced. "You really don't know the mate you got stuck with, do you? Don't sweat it, I got this." I finished with a small wink.

"If any of them so much as touches a hair on your pretty little head, they're dead." He said with finality.

"Mmm, that's kinda the whole point: for them to hit me, genius." I countered. He is being completely absurd. I can handle myself quite nicely.

"Whatever..." he mumbled annoyed and continued walking forward. I swear he's not as smart as one would hope for a scary Alpha assassin.

Twenty minutes has passed and there were eleven members from my pack; 7 males and 4 females, all fearsome pack warriors. I could also spot the idiot who can't throw a knife from Grimaldi's pack.

I directed my stare at her "Can I help you?"

"I'd like to try out for the pack trainer position." She replied calmly as if it was the most obvious thing.

Who does this girl think she is? She's not even a member of this pack and, additionally, she can't hold her own. She couldn't even react to a knife as I threw it at her. There is no way I would leave my warrior's training in her hands.

"Are you stupid?" I asked, completely dumbfounded.

"Are you afraid I'll beat you up in front of all your little friends?" I guess that answers that question.

"That's a lot of tough talk, can you back it up? How about a little one on one? Do you think you can handle it?" I ask with mirth in my voice.

My mate suddenly pulls me away. "Louise is a warrior, you don't have to fight her because of your ego." He was fully concerned, but there was no reason to be.

" I can handle myself." I reassured him. Then, I added, "I'm actually a bit offended that you would doubt me."

He nodded, "I would never." He said with a small smirk.

When I came back, Louise held my stare and said, "You're on."

Everyone backed up to give us a bit of space to fight. We both got into our fighting stances and circled each other. She launched at me first, as expected. I dodged her attack and pulled her right leg, making her land on her stomach.

She got back up and attempted to punch me in the face. She was clearly getting upset. Her lack of patience would give me the advantage needed to beat her. I catch her fist in my hand, she was slow. I proceeded to twist her arm behind her back in a way that was not only extremely painful, but would also dislocate her shoulder and fracture her elbow.

With my left hand holding her now destroyed right arm. I used my right elbow to ram her to the floor. I used both my hands to choke her, I saw her eyes widen as she noticed this was the end for her. She exposed her neck to me.

She was asking for mercy. Giving up. How pathetic, at least die with dignity. I don't do mercy, she dies today.

I suddenly felt the sparks travel up and down my back, and my mate's delicious voice say, "Gianna, let her go, she learned her lesson."

I held her for a few more seconds, fighting the mate pull until I gave up. The sparks were all consuming and listening to my mate was irrefutable. This mate of mine would be my death.

I stood up and walked away from her before I regretted letting her go.

"Go stay in your room until we leave, Louise. Don't cause anymore trouble, I'll deal with you back home." The Alpha tone was unmistakeable and the girl, petrified, followed his orders.

My mate came up behind me and touched my arm. "Thank you for listening."

"I didn't have much of a choice." I murmur, annoyed, to which he just smirked.

After about an hour, none of my warriors managed to hit me. Mario, one of my father's guards, came really close though. I dodged just at the nick of time, but he was incredibly fast. I decided he would take my place. I mind link my brother and father sharing the results and they all agreed Mario was a good choice. Alpha guards were the top warriors in the pack, even though my dad could handle himself, they accompanied him to dealings with other packs.

I was currently laying in the sofa in my room, while my mate arranged transportation. He was speaking in his native language, french. He sounded incredibly hot.

Lust suddenly overcame me. My mate was perfect. He was laying against my window, his long strong legs crossed at the ankles, looking extremely serious. He furrowed his brow as he barked out orders to whoever was listening on the other side of the line.

I noticed he was staring at me now. He had obviously noticed the lust and excitement pooling my eyes, because his eyes reflected the same. He gave a couple more distracted commands over the phone and hung up.

In a flash he was laying on top of me on the couch, holding himself up as to not crush me completely.

His eyes are so beautiful, so full of want. There is a deepness to them that fascinates me. I would stare in to them all day, if he'd allow me too. He started to lean in and I put my index finger to his lips. I continued to trace his whole face with my other hand. My hands remembering every edge and contour of his face. He is truly perfect and mine. Damn, I got lucky.

He stared at me as if I was so delicate. No one has ever looked at me like that.

"Beautiful." The word just slipped out his mouth, as if he couldn't help himself. I smiled at him in return. We continued to stare at each other for a few more seconds.

As if suddenly snapping out of his train of thoughts, he suddenly sat up and I followed him.

"You should pack for tomorrow. We're leaving really early." He said standing up.

"I'll walk you out." I said, standing up as well.

Once at the door, before I could talk myself out of it, I pecked his cheek. "Goodnight."

He smiled at me, "Goodnight, Gianna."

A/N:

I got really excited writing the fight scene and for reasons that elude me, I thought ,
"A roundhouse kick can't be that hard."

Well, it is.

I fell on my face at 2am. Needless to say, I erased the whole roundhouse kick scene from the story.
