My alarm sounds, notifying me that it's 7 am. Not that I slept anyway. My never ending nerves kept me awake. I was about to tell my pack that I was Alpha Grimaldi's mate and that I was leaving. I feared for the worse reactions. I also had to find an appropriate replacement, which could be hard.

I got up and headed to my bathroom, where I took a nice, relaxing shower. After I was done, I put on a pair of yoga pants and a spots bra. I also put on my sneakers and set my hair in a ponytail. With my usual training attire on, I headed down for breakfast.

The breakfast buffet was already set and there were a couple people already eating. I served myself and took a seat. The food was exquisite, as usual.

Just as I was finishing up, my mate entered the dinning room. After serving himself, he sat down next to me and whispered lowly as so only I could hear him, "You're really pushing it with that outfit."

I guess I could've covered up more, but sports bras are extremely comfortable for training. I leaned over him, and grabbed a napkin, giving him a clear view of my cleavage, which was my entire purpose. As I set myself back in my spot, I replied, "What are you gonna do about it, Alpha?"

He only smirked in response. He's an Alpha, or course he would love a challenge. I liked it as well, if I was being entirely honest. It's thrilling, I'd never tell him that, though.

I then felt sparks in my upper thigh, really close to my private area. He just rested his hand there. The pressure his hand made and the sparks were so intense I could feel the excitement rushing through my body and settling in that part where it shouldn't be. He then proceeded to trail his hand higher and a muffled moan escaped my mouth, causing everyone at the table to look at me.

"Are you okay, Kuchno?" Asked my mate in mock concern. I'm going to kill him.

"Yes, Alpha Grimaldi, the food is just extremely good this morning. I apologize." I say, composing myself and the discreetly remove his hand. "You're going to pay fo that." I add in a hushed voice.

"I bet I am." He replied with a smirk and continued his meal as if nothing happened.

Once we were both done, we headed to the study. We were going to tell my family about us being mates before everyone else. Already, my brother and father were sitting there, going through some paperwork. Once they noticed us my father proceeded to greet us, "Alpha... Gianna" My brother, in turn, just nodded his head at us and continued what he was doing.

"We have something we need to tell you..." I trailed off, catching both of their attention.

"Have you figured out a way to get rid of the vampire problem?" My father asked, automatically assuming that those were the news we planned on sharing.

"Not yet." I answered curtly. My brother then went back to work, his attention no longer entirely on us.

"What is it then?" Asked my father, probably getting impatient with me. Here goes everything...

"Gianna and I are mates." I was beat to it. A shiver ran down my body as he said that. Something about him accepting we were mates out loud drove me crazy.

My brother stopped dead in his tracks as he was signing a paper. My father on the other hand smiled, a genuine smile, and congratulated us. "That's fantastic news, Gianna."

My brother just stared at us and said, "... yeah, that's great." He gave a nod of his head as if getting out of a trance and continued to work. Well, that was easy.

"I'm telling the pack and finding a replacements for myself. I'll send a mind-link for everyone to meet outside in half an hour." I said with finality, gaining my confidence back and exited the study, with my mate right behind me.

Once we were outside, I turned, almost knocking into my mate, stared straight into his eyes and told him "I'm telling Eric before I tell the rest of the pack."

He gave me a confused look, "Who's Eric?"
Just as I was about to answer him, realization hit him and his eyes turned cold. "No."

"I'm not asking permission. I just want to tell him so he doesn't find out with the rest of the pack. Out of respect. He is our beta."

"He's also your fuck buddy." He murmured. I gave him a hard stare.

"Was... just trust me, please Mason." It was the first time I've ever said his name. I could see the shiver that ran through him. "Five minutes." He said with finality, composing himself.

"That's all I need." I said and started to work my way up the stairs, towards Eric's room. I walked through the long hallways of the sixth floor , which were filled with paintings of wolves. We reserved the big-name pieces for the lobby.

When I reached his door, which was almost at the end of the hall, I knocked three times so he knew it was me. I heard some shuffling inside, before the door unlocked. Eric had only a towel on, which showed that he had just taken a shower.

"Come in, Gigi." He said, holding the door open for me. I went in and took a seat on his couch.

"Get dressed, we need to talk." I guess he thought I meant pack business, because he went into full beta mode. He nodded my way and went into his walk in closet to get dressed. A couple minutes later, he came out in sweatpants and was in the process of putting a shirt on. Honestly, Eric was really good looking. He had brown hair and green eyes. He was tall, not as tall as my mate, but still very tall. Additionally, he had an amazing six pack. Plus, he was great in bed, which is where most of our "relationship" transpired. Maybe it was meeting my mate, but somehow he just didn't hold the same appeal as before.

"What is it?" He asked, once he finished fixing his shirt. Beta tone in full swing.

"Alpha Grimaldi is my mate." I came out with the whole truth, no point in stalling.

Noticing I had not come on official pack business, Eric relaxed his posture and took a seat next to me.

"Okay..." He whispered, then continued with more force. "Well, we both knew this would happen eventually and that does explain why he got so mad at me. Gianna, I want you to be happy and you know I'll back off." He finished off, then added "I still resent him calling me a mutt, though."

"I know you do." I replied with a small smile. "Thanks Eric, I want you to be happy as well."
He smiled back and we shared a small hug. Eric and I were friends much before we became lovers. He was one of the few people I trusted with my life, so, I knew he would understand. I would understand too, if he had found his mate first. After all, part of our arrangement was no feelings attached.

I stood up from his couch and whispered, "Now to tell the rest of the pack."

I exited Eric's room with him hit on my tail and prepared myself.
