Lunch Out

Dei meets Cai at their usual restaurant after having a brief meeting with her boss.

"Mars!" Cai waves at Dei.

Dei sits across her.

"Ba't ang tagal mo. Inorder na kita ha."

"Nakasalubong ko kasi si Sir Danny."

"Ooooohhhh..."

"Gaga. Tungkol dun sa Project na sinabi ko sayo."

"Ohkaaaay. Wala naman akong sinabi noh."

Dei ignores her friend's loaded tone.

"Anywaaaay, anong oras tayo later? Excited na akong mameet ang bagong jowa ni Kim!"

Cai says as their orders arrive

"May class pa ako hanggang 9pm eh. Pero derecho nako pagkatapos."

"Sige sabihin ko na lang sa kanila.

"So.... Magkukwento ka ba o magkukwento ka?"

"Tungkol saan?"

"Tungkol sa pinuputok ng buchi mo kanina!"

"Alin ba?"

"Kaya ka naman nagyaya dito dahil niyaya ko si Bagets sa gimik mamaya diba? Ano ba meron sa inyong dalawa nun?"

"Wala."

"Asuuuus. Kinwento na ni Paolo sakin wag kang mag maang maangan dyan."

"Ay nako! Si Paolo talaga o!!"

"Bakit Mars, wala ka naman dapat ikahiya ano! At wala naman tayong nililihim sa isa't isa, diba?"

"Well, true..." Dei sighs.

"O so ano nga?"

"Eh yun na nga, hanggang saan ba kinwento ni Paolo sayo?"

"Up until that night when you had that RJ's tongue down your throat!"

"Pssst huy marinig ka ng mga studyante o!" Dei looks at the tables around them.

"Di naman nila alam kung sino yun ano! Besides, napakaraming RJ sa mundo!"

"O well anyway, hinaan mo lang kasi." Dei whispers to her.

Meanwhile, Trish and Josh were seated behind Cai, as Trish overheard her say RJ's name.

Same RJ kaya ito? She thought.

Well I wouldn't put it passed him to make out with a professor. Trish grits her teeth.

"Tara na Josh, let's go. I have to go pick something up from the library."

They stand up and leave.

"Hi Miss!" Trish puts on a fake cheery smile as they pass by their table, sizing up Dei if she can really score HER RJ.

"O, Ms. Morales." Dei smiles and nods at her and her date.

Dei looks back at Cai as Trish and her date were out of sight.

"Narinig kaya tayo nun?"

"Nino?"

"Nun. Yung bumati. Studyante ko rin yun eh."

"Ewan. Bayaan mo sya. O tapos ano na?!"  Cai says as they continue with their lunch.
