Weeks went on and RJ and Dei maintained their set up, taking it one day at a time, enjoying each other's company.

He tries forget that their time together becomes shorter and shorter as the days go by. 

They spend more time together than usual, stays over her place every night, making sure he showers her with all his love to make up for all the time they will be apart.

Soon, the term is coming to a close, all grades have been submitted, and his graduation is soon coming up.

"Aba himala, umuwi ka." RJ father says to him as he enters the house.

"Hi Dad." RJ hurriedly tries to go up the stairs, surprised that his dad is in the living room.

"O sandali, sandali. Maupo ka nga muna dito at mag usap tayo."

"Yes." RJ slumps himself in the couch, trying hard to control his irritation.

His father puts down the tablet he was holding, and stares at him. "Ilang buwan na kitang kinukulit.  Ano na ang desisyon mo?"

"Saan."

"Graduation mo na in 2 weeks diba?"

"Yes."

"And?"

"And?"

"Pupunta ka ba sa US o pupunta ka?"

"It seems you like you aren't really giving me any choice"

"What is holding you back? Is it Dei?"

RJ looks down, twiddling his fingers and stays silent.

"Look, anak. I have met her, and she seems like a nice person. But you can't think she's the one. Ang bata mo pa."

"WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP TELLING ME BATA PA AKO??"

"Calm down RJ."

RJ tries to control his heavy breathing, then goes back to twiddling his fingers again.

"Look, anak. Look at me. Look at me."

RJ looks at his father slightly then looks down again, afraid that the tears pooling in his eyes might fall at any moment.

"Mahal mo, tama ba?"

RJ slightly nods.

"Okay. Mahal mo. Mahal ka ba?"

He nods again.

"Okay. Sigurado ka?"

"Oo. Sabi nya."

"And is she holding you back? Is she making you stay?"

"Hindi. Sya nga nag sasabing ituloy ko." he sniffs, tears falling down his face.

"O. Yun naman pala eh."

"Ang tagal."

"That's just 4 years. And with the technology now, napaka dali na lang ng communication."

"Mmm." RJ nods at him.

"So, ano na desisyon mo?"

"Yeah. I'll go."

RJ's father smiles at him, and it was probably the first time that he did for a very long time. RJ shifts his eyes to his father's happy face.

"But I want to come back during breaks. Mag iipon ako."

"No problem. Mag-usap tayo ng mga dates na pwede ka na makauwi when you get there."

"And tell ninong Sam ayoko ng mga reto reto."

"Yes." his father chuckles, "I'll tell your ninong and ninang."

"And I need a whole weekend to get away before I leave."

"Okay. Asikasuhin mo na yung request mo for TOR and all other additional documents na inemail sayo ni Sam. You leave in a month."

"Okay."

"This is for you, son."

"Yes. I know."

RJ goes upstairs to his sister's room finding her in bed reading a book.

"Kuya! Andito ka na! Akala ko di ka na uuwi! Abaaaaa ang haba na ng buhok mo ah! At parang bato bato ka na, ano nangyari sayo?"    His sister says as she hugs him in excitement.

"Haha. Wala work out at school work. Ano yang binabasa mo?"

"Harry Potter ulit, nagrereview ako for the next movie."

"Wow pati novels nirereview mo. Adik."   They lie down in bed side by side just staring at the ceiling.

"Aalis ka daw kuya?"

"Oo eh." RJ sighs.

"Mamimiss kita."

"Ikaw din. Mamimiss ko. Kamusta pala results mo sa entrance exam? Saan ka na mag aaral? Wag mong sabihing Ateneo ka isusumpa kita."

"Grabe to. Oo La Salle na ako. Bukod sa mas malapit eh mas mabilis ko matatapos course ko."

"Ano nga ulit course mo?"

"Dibaaaaa BS Psych and Accountancy."

"Pumasa ka dun?? Quota course yun ah!"

"Thanks Kuya ha, thanks." She hits him with a pillow laughing.

"Kelan enrollment mo?"

"Next week. Samahan mo ako?"

"Oo naman."

"Kasama din si Ate Dei?"

"Kung gusto mo, at kung pwede sya, bakit hindi?"

"Oo naman, ang tagal ko na rin sya hindi nakikita... Kuya, paano si Ate Dei pala? Pag alis mo?"

"Yun nga eh."

They both stay silent, as RJ continues to sigh heavily.

"Love mo baaaa?"  She nudges him jokingly.

"Ano ba yan!" RJ chuckles nudging her back.

"Ano ngaaaaa. Love mo baaaaa."

"Oo."

"Ayieeeee!"

"Wag ka ngang magulo!"

"DIbale kuya, love conquers all."

"Kababasa mo yan ng mga romantic novels mo dyan."

"Bakit di ka ba naniniwala? Sabi nga diba, if you love the person set them free, if she comes back, then you're meant to be."

"Totoo ba yun."

"Oo naman. Pag kayo, kayo. Tinadhana ganun."

"Ang dami mong alam ano?"

"Totoo yuuun!"

"Bakit may boypren ka na ba ha? Di mo pinapakilala sakin ha??"

"Wala, eto talaga o. Pero ganun yun. Ika nga ni Alden Richards, ako ang alon na babalik sayo. Pak."

"I can't believe I am taking love advice from you, puro ka cliche quotes dyan uma-Alden Richards ka pa."

The siblings spent the whole night bantering about each other's love life or lack thereof. RJ realizes how much his sister has grown into a wise yet wacky beautiful woman he will surely gonna miss when he leaves.
