Falling

Narrator's POV

Have you ever fallen? Let's say you were hiking and then fell on a rock and tumbled a bit. How long did you fall for? Because Percy and Wanda felt like they had been falling for hours. Percy's eyes started to water and burn. He closed them and just thought. It was easier for him to think when he was slowly falling to his death. There was no pain and all he felt around him was air.

Meanwhile, Tony and the rest of the Avengers watched as the tow fell to their deaths.

"Percy!" Leo yelled. Tony started to fly straight toward them at high speed. Cap shook his head and turned away.

Wanda was never afraid of death. She just wanted to see her family again. Death was her answer, her ticket out. But she knew that for Percy, death was always his ticket out, his ticket to a new, better life. But as much as he said that he was ready to die, she knew that he wasn't. Somewhere out there was Annabeth Chase, the love of his life. And if she was alive, she would kill herself if Percy died. So she prayed that they would catch them, so that she wouldn't have the fault of another death on her hands.

She was able to look over at Percy. He had gone unconscious from falling so far so fast. In a few moments,  though, he would hit the ground and they would both be dead. The tired, sleepy, clean feeling of unconsciousness started to take her over, and instead of resisting, she let it claim her.

Hazel's POV

"Annabeth." She had carried the girl inside of the helicopter and sat her down. She looked up at Hazel and smiled.

"Hazel. It's you!" She said really over cheery like. Hazel shrugged it off and sat down across from her.

"Where were you?" She asked. Annabeth shrugged. "Here and there, there and here, EVERYWHERE!" She giggled and then rolled over in laughter. Hazel shot up to help her but Annabeth just kept laughing. She slowly sat back down.

"Annabeth, do you know how long it's been since you left? You left us all, Annabeth! Percy was devastated when you didn't come back! We all were, Percy's moved on though so that's good."

Annabeth merely shrugged. "I've been gone for three days!" Hazel almost laughed herself. "Three days! It's been almost two years!" Annabeth stopped laughing and looked at Hazel dead in the eyes. "Two years...two years, two years..." She started pacing.

"Annabeth? What did I say?" Hazel asked, kind of nervous. She stopped pacing and looked at looked at her again. "Two years, it's been two years."

Hazel rolled her eyes, "Yes, Annabeth, TWO YEARS!" She just held her head and started to freak out.

"Two years, Hazel, I've been falling for two years!"
