Two weeks later .
The first two days she was not able to walk on her own and she was extremely frustrated at her vulnerability . Whenever she tried to walk and would fail in it she would see the sympathy in their eyes and she didn't like it a bit . Especially when Hillary , who had a sassy attitude towards her started acting nice towards her , she felt frustrated . She didn't want people to change their attitude towards her just because she was weak and vulnerable . Because when one pitied her she felt like she failed to fight her battles. And that was something she hated to accept. So every night she started to walk on her own and though it pained a lot she did not allow herself to make a sound . Slowly and steadily she started recovering and seeing the change the doctor had been surprised at first but he recommended her to stay in bed for two three days . But that didn't stop her from thinking of leaving the dojo . In fact it had been a while since Pearl thought of leaving the dojo and continuing with her motive of living an independent and strong life without expecting anything from anyone .
Seeing Pearl deep in her thoughts lying in the bed and fiddling with her pendant which had a shape of a broken heart , Hillary shook her head in amusement .
" Here eat this soup and maybe it'll make you feel better . " Hillary said giving Pearl a bowl of soup .
" Thanks " Pearl replied taking the soup excitedly from Hillary . Ever since Hillary had made her special pea soup for Pearl , Pearl had grown fond of her soup and would ask Hillary to make the soup indirectly and when Hillary would get that hint , she would delay making the soup which would earn her a glare from Pearl which she would obviously and happily ignore .
Hillary sat next to her in a wooden tool and looked at Pearl . Even though Hillary hated Pearl's attitude , she had grown used to it . She understood that it was just a facade she was carrying to shield herself from God knows what .
Sensing the stares of Hillary , Pearl looked at her and in an annoyed tone said " Am I looking so damn beautiful that you can't stop staring at me ?"
" Nope . Actually you are looking yellow . In simple words , you are looking like shit !." Hillary replied .
" Whatever " was Pearl's answer while she brought the spoon near to her smiling lips and slowly sipped the soup which she was going to miss profusely after she left .
" Hillary I ..I - " Pearl started to speak but was interrupted by the overly hyperactive Tyson barging in the room .
The girls looked at him in an irritated manner and they gave him an expression which clearly stated get out . But obviously Tyson being Tyson shrugged it off and in a dramatic way swiped off the imaginary sweat from his forehead .
" So much for being charming . " Tyson dramatically sighed . And the girls rolled their eyes in response .
" Okay . Girls lets go down . Grandpa has asked us to join him for the breakfast . And we have surprise visitors today !. " Tyson squealed .
"But Pearl hasn't fully recovered - " Hillary protested but was cut off by Pearl .
" It okay Hillary . I am fine and I have to act up now . Plus we wouldn't like to send off the surprise visitors without a proper greeting , now would we ? " She said and Hillary seeing the determination in her eyes sighed and helped Pearl to get down on her feet .
"Who are the visitors ? " Hillary asked while she helped Pearl to wear her sweatshirt.
" It's a surprise !" Tyson involuntarily screamed which earned him murderous sets of beautiful eyes.
Once Pearl was ready , she thanked Hillary and started walking without taking help from Hillary or Tyson . When she walked out of the room , Tyson and Hillary shared a look of happiness and pride .
" Stop looking that way otherwise you two will fall in love with each other ." Pearl smirked .
" Never" Hillary and Tyson replied together and got out of the room to catch up with Pearl not before sharing a look of irritation towards each other .
