Chapter 10

KAI'S P.O.V

Ignorance is a bliss. That is what I have been following as my daily routine to ignore the pain in my heart which screams of letting it out. The strange thing is , I am not able to ignore this girl , the reason for my pain . The so called Pearl who is not strong enough to carry her real identity after the havoc she caused in the lives of so many people who loved her as their own .

I still can't believe that she is still going on with her life smoothly without any regrets of the past . Damn her for being this heartless .

Flashback :

" kaira play with me today please " Phi looked at kai with her innocent eyes .

" Go play with someone else . I have to practice Ophelia ." Kai said which earned him a glare -cum-pout to which he smirked . He knew that she hated to be called by her full name and always preferred to be called Phi but kai believed in taking revenge for he was called kaira by her even though he had corrected her a thousand times .

" Fine ! be mean . I swear that in the near future I will grow up and will make you pay a thousand times more and one day I will surely wipe that inane smirk from your so called handsome face. " She threatened and stomping her feet , she proceeded towards the door .

" I will wait for you to grow up Phi . I surely will . " Kai whispered to himself with a real smile on his face .

flashback end .

" Kai kai kai . earth to kai . " Hillary shouted which made kai come out of his flashbacks.

" Buzz off " Kai said and didn't even bother to look at Hillary .

P.O.V ended

Hillary looked at kai for a brief moment carving his appearance in her heart , mind and soul . Even when he was leaning on a wall , he looked etheral and untouchable with a deadly aura surrounding him .

Since the first time she saw him , she knew that he had her . It seemed too cliche to fall in love at the first glance but who could resist the fatal blow of the Cupid ? At least Hillary couldn't . Especially when there was a person like the kai hiwatari who could make even the best bladers fall into their deepest dungeon of nightmares with just one icy look.

" Whatever . Lets go inside . Hiro is here and is searching for you since the last thirty minutes . But you are here lazing around the corners thinking about me probably ? " Hillary shot indirects towards Kai hoping it would somehow be true . She grinned at him masking the seriousness behind those words of her .

" Dream on ." Kai said coldly and went past her .

" whatever " Hillary rolled her eyes at his cold demeanor shielding her heart against the pain caused by those words and followed kai . yes. This is what she had been doing following kai everywhere but only in her dreams.

War has ended and the suffering has stopped but my love , my heart has been lost in the midst of your arrival .....
