As Pearl descended down the stairs , she couldn't stop herself from smiling . She could hear Tyson and Hillary arguing with each other for no specific reason and that bitterly reminded her of her family .
' don't be sad . We vowed to not let those memory weaken us ' Fulmina spoke .
Pearl was startled at first but when she recognized the voice she was very happy .
' Fulmina you are back .' She screamed in her head .
Ever since Pearl had been drained out of energy , Fulmina had stopped communicating with her . Maybe because she was out of energy too or maybe she was guilty of not being able to save it's beloved master from hurting.
Fulmina knew her master more than anyone else . She had been with her since Pearl had earned her .
Back in Pearl's home , every generation had to earn their own bit-beast in their own time . Pearl's elder brother, Liam was the first one to win a bit-beast . He was then six years old . The same day when he won a bit-beast , Pearl too won one and she was then five years old . That was a moment of Pride and happiness for her family and that was the moment Pearl received her lifeline in the form of Fulmina.
' I am sorry I was not there to comfort you in your pain ' Fulmina apologized .
' hey it's not your fault . You have been drained out too all because of my stubbornness . I am sorry for being reckless .' When Pearl said these ,she actually realized how reckless she had been . She had been too focused on leaving her home that she had gone hard upon herself and specially Fulmina.
' listen to me , you are doing well by yourself
but when time comes , don't let your Pride win over your life. ' fulmina's voice held urgency which surprised Pearl
' What are you saying ?' she questioned her but she was already gone .
Sighing she entered into the dining hall to be greeted by grandpa Ryu and three other people whose face held surprise on seeing her . Grandpa Ryu smiled at her but she noticed that his smile held a different emotion which she could not decipher .
" Ah ! You must be Pearl . Nice to meet you ." Max said with a cheerful voice and a smile but was met with silence from Pearl which made grandpa Ryu and the two men chuckle .
When she stood there inspecting the new people not even bothering to greet them , Tyson and Hillary came and stood right behind her .
"Hi Mr. Dickenson , Max and Ray". Tyson and Hillary said it together . And upon seeing everyone chuckling both of them glared at one another .
"Hi Tyson . Hi Hillary . The three of them replied simultaneously.
Pearl's feet started to pain slightly so she seated herself next to grandpa Ryu .
" So what brings you guys here ? " Tyson asked which made Ray and Max to look at Mr Dickenson .
" Children I have called all the blade breakers to assemble here to discuss an important matter regarding the BBA new world championship . So have patience and let the other team mates arrive and then we will discuss ." Mr Dickenson announced.
" Cool. So we will be participating in the BBA championship . Yay !!" Tyson excitedly got up and went upstairs banging the floor all the way .
" Uff this Tyson is such a jerk . Who bangs the floor while going upstairs ? " Hillary complained which made everyone in the room chuckle except for Pearl who had been frowning the whole time Mr Dickenson had announced about the BBA new world championship.
" Why is there an addition of the " New " after BBA ? " Pearl questioned which made everyone turn at her direction .
Mr Dickenson smiled . " Good question and I may have a answer to that but it is not my place to disclose . When the time comes you all will know it ." He said mysteriously which made Pearl narrow her eyes .
" Is that some kind of surprise for the participants Mr Dickenson ? " Max asked excitedly .
" Or is it some kind of Partnership with an organization ? " Ray added .
"Like I said you'll know it when the time comes . " Was his answer which he offered with a big smile .
"I'll bring some food for you all to eat . " Hillary said and left the room .
" Pearl why don't you tell us about yourself ? " Mr Dickenson asked Pearl .
Pearl raised her eyebrow and replied " My name is Pearl and that's it . I have nothing to tell about myself except for the fact that I am here recovering from my over exhaustion and this man here * turning to Ryu Granger * has saved me and has given me temporary place to live . For which I am indebted for life . " While she said that her eyes were filled with gratefulness for Old Granger .
" I see . But what about your parents , your family , friends , et - cetera ? " Max said .
" That is none of your business . " Was her Curt reply .
To this grandpa Ryu and Mr Dickenson gave out a hearty laugh while Ray narrowed his eyes suspiciously at Pearl .
The girl sitting before him wearing simple jeans and floral sweatshirt with tangled hair reaching till her waist was someone he would definitely doubt .
One look into her eyes and one would know that she was very well guarded . Her green
orbs gave out nothing about her .
After years of martial arts training , Ray had come to recognize the thoughts of a person judging by their expression and body language but Pearl gave out nothing . From her body language to her eyes all he could see was her heavily made bars .
" Ray ... Ray ! " Max raised his voice which gained Ray's attention .
" Are you even listening to what I am saying ? " Max asked with irritation etched in his voice .
"Uh... Sorry Max I was thinking about something else . " Ray replied to which Max just rolled his eyes .
"If you hadn't been so intently staring at Pearl , you would have heard Max . " Grandpa Ryu said with a laugh .
" I...I..." Ray started which made Max and Mr Dickenson laugh too .
" Nah . He wasn't staring at me for no reasons . He was trying to inspect me for any kinds of threat . Am I right ? " Pearl said looking into his eyes .
Ray was stunned by her observation which she had done without even looking at Ray the whole time and again this made him more suspicious of her .
" Don't waste your energy on figuring me out . Do something productive . " She said standing up .
" I must go and see whether or not Tyson has found his beyblade wiper . I might have hidden it . " See said with a sly but guarded smile and went upstairs while Hillary came with a tray of food .
" Be careful Pearl . You are not supposed to jump on the stairs . " Hillary scolded while she kept the food on the table .
" Yes mom . " Pearl replied with a mock salute and headed upstairs walking properly .
" She is amusing . " Mr Dickenson commented to which Ryu and Hillary agreed with a smile .
Just then the main door of the house opened revealing the arrogant bey - blader ever .
He entered the house and walked straight and seated himself next to Ray.
" No need to stare at me . Let's proceed with the discussion . " He stated .
" Indeed Kai . " Replied Mr. Dickenson with a smile
