She couldn't back down from her word and now she was here standing in the stadium
surrounded by blade breakers who would challenge her one by one to test her potential.
" Are you ready Pearl ? " Tyson asked positioning his beyblade while standing on the other side of the beyblade disc .
Her hands were shaking . She knew how to use her beyblade for defense but could she really offend her opponent ? She had vowed to never use her beyblade except for defense but now she had to
One vow can really make you break your other she thought .
" what an irony " Fulmina replied sarcastically .
" Shut up " She said which happened to be heard by everyone .
" At least have some respect for the one who supports you . " kai retorted .
" Huh? " Pearl asked in confusion .
" Let's start " Tyson said .
" Yeah let's do that " She muttered and positioned herself for the battle .
" 1 , 2, 3 ..its showtime !!" They screamed and hence the battle started .
Tyson's blade spun around Pearl's blade who seemed to lack enthusiasm .
Tyson was shocked to see her blade perform weakly . He remembered how she had created the fog while trying to shield herself from the inevitable . He remembered seeing the fire of dominance in her eyes that day . And he had surely seen the aura of superiority and confidence radiating from her like the sun radiating its rays . But today he saw hesitation in her eyes and somewhere in it resided fear. And she had been shaking since Kai called her a mistake .
" Dragoon attack ! " He commanded his ally when he could no longer take in the hesitance from Pearl while thinking about the amount of truth that resided in kai's words .
She defended herself from the attack by dodging it . She was lost looking at the beyblade . The blade was moving on its own because for Pearl a simple beyblade match also felt like an abomination and was a devastating reminder of her past .
" Will you not command ?" Fulmina asked .
She didn't answer . She couldn't answer for she only saw despair flodding in her mind .
" Phantom hurricane attack . " Tyson commanded and smirked for he was definitely going to win .
" Pear why do we need to protect our people with pride ? " Yangzom asked with her big doey eyes staring into hers trying to find the answer.
" Because it is our responsibility to provide them protection . And why with pride you asked ? Its because we never submit without a fight and that is something we do for ourselves and for the ones we love and when we do that , a feeling called pride makes a way in our life. When you will grow up , you will understand but remember to never submit without trying . " At this answer , Yangzom smiled and repeated " Never submit without trying "
" Finish the game dragoon . " Tyson screamed when a massive hurricane had surrounded Pearl's beyblade leaving it vulnerable to defeat for it was well known that no ordinary beyblade could escape the hurricane made by Dragoon .
Pearl was startled by the screeching voice of Tyson and then she saw the trap her blade was in . And she closed her eyes and summoned fulmina putting all her emotions in it and commanded .
" Forge and sieze " She commanded with so much power that everyone was startled to see her command after so long .
After this , the sound of Tyson's metal blade clanking with the fragile looking blade was all that was heard and the next thing to be seen was Tyson's blade spinning out of the ground while Pearl's blade was still spinning inside with a new found energy and power which was not only seen in the beyblade but was also seen in the eyes of its owner .
"It had been a long time Pearl " Fulmina acknowledge and pearl nodded her head and a small smile made a way to her lips .
