Staying with Scott wasn't as bad as she'd expected.

Sure, when Melissa walked in the next morning it was awkward, seeing as Melissa noticed right off the bat that her son was still holding Sommer's hand comfortingly from the floor, but a small grin replaced the look of shock when she noticed the relaxed and very peaceful look on the girl who had only been seen with a stone cold expression.

When Melissa left, Sommer woke up and pulled her hand from Scott's.

Had they been like that all night?

She shook her head and sighed, pulling the blankets back.

Her arm was almost healed, but her head still spun and her eye sight stayed blurry.

She was still regressing; but it was starting to get much worse, much faster..

She shuffled to the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror, taking notice of the dark bags under her eyes and the paleness of her skin.

She cringed.

But she still splashed a little water on her face to wake her up, her dull blue eyes staring back at her with a sadness she wasn't quite used to these days.

In the other room, Scott woke up with a groan and turned on his stomach, looking around to see an empty room.

He frowned.

Where'd Sommer go?
Did she go home?
Is she okay?

All these questions ran through his mind, but was cut off when he saw her shuffle through the doorway with slumped shoulders and a permanent frown.

She didn't expect to see him awake though, as her eyes were now wide while she stopped in her tracks.

"Oh, uh, morning.." she mumbled in embarrassment before wrapping her arms around herself.

Scott smiles hesitantly, waving. "Morning. How'd you sleep?"

The girl thought for a moment before shrugging. "I've slept worse, that's for sure." Her fingers ran through her hair as she smiled shyly, "Thanks for letting me stay... Y-You didn't have to.. Especially after all the threats and shit-"
