THE RECKONING:
FINALE PART TWO

The children walked up the isle where all centaurs where stood to their attention. They paused, looking at the five thrones which each had significant carvings on. They continued to walk up the steps and stand in front of the appropriate thrones.

Peter, Eleanor, Lucy, Edmund and finally, Susan's.

"To the glistening Easter Sea, I give you, Queen Lucy the Valiant." Mr. Tumnus smiled lightly as he placed the crown upon her head. "To the great Western Wood, King Edmund the Just. To the radiant Southern Sun, Queen Susan the gentle."

The crowd of Narnian's cheered.

"To the clear Northern Sky, I give you King Peter the Magnificent." The cheers got louder.

"And finally, to the Fields of War, the defender of mankind, the Red Knight of Narnia. Queen Eleanor the Brave!"

Eleanor tried to hide her smile as the crown was placed on her head.

"Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen. May your wisdom grace is until the stars rain down from the heavens."

"Long live King Peter! Long live Queen Eleanor! Long live King Edmund! Long live Queen Lucy! Long live Queen Susan!"

||

Eleanor leaned against a large window ledge, watching as Aslan walked across the beach below Cair Paravel.

She sighed.

"Don't worry. We'll see him again."

Eleanor turned around, her serious and sad expression turning into a soft smile.

"When?" She asked Mr. Tumnus,

He smiled as he joined her on the window ledge. "In time. One day he'll be here and the next he won't. But you mustn't press after him, after all, he's not a tame lion."

"No," Eleanor laughed. "But he is good."

||

The five found themselves at a lamp post one day, Edmund hopped off his horse and furrowed his eyebrows. Peter joined him,

"What's this? Seems familiar."

The girls joined them, confused too.

"As if from a dream," Eleanor said.

"Or a dream of a dream." Lucy said before running off.

"Lucy!" Eleanor shouted,

"Not again." Susan sighed, everyone running after her.

"Lu?"

"Come on!"

The branches seemed to get denser.

"These aren't branches."

"Ow! Ooh!"

"These are coats," Susan scoffed in disbelief.

"Susan, you're on my foot!"

"That's Ellie!"

"Is not!"

"Peter, move off!" Lucy cried,

Suddenly, the five fell forwards, landing- not on snow, but a hard wooden floor. Eleanor landed on top of Peter, Lucy on top of Edmund and Susan was fine.

"Ow!" Edmund cried.

"Oh! There you are," the professor said, appearing at the door of a room they all knew. "What were you all doing in the wardrobe?"

Peter and Eleanor shared a look before laughing.

"You wouldn't believe us if we told you, Sir." Peter said, the others agreeing through laughter.

"Try me."
