(Feonix POV)
"WAKE UP!!!!!" A gruff voice yelled, banging on the door.
I shot out of bed and stood up as fast as I could. A guard stormed into my "room". He wore the same uniform as the guards at the gate.
"Be ready in 5." He said, then stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
"Well someone hasn't had their coffee..." I muttered to myself. I looked in the mirror by my bed. I had terrible morning hair, as usual. I brushed my fingers through my hair, trying to get some of the knots out. I smoothed out my wrinkled Star Wars T-shirt.
The guard stormed back into the room and grabbed me by the arm. Let me just say he didn't do it gently. I yelped in surprise.
"Hey! I know how to walk on my own! You don't have to drag me to wherever the heck we're going!" I yelled, trying to get the guard to let go of me.
"Ok Jeff, come on. Let me go and we can part ways as unlikely friends. Deal?" I said, my feet barely keeping up with Jeff the Killer's long stride.
"I know not of this 'Jeff' you speak of. My name is Skolik." He said gruffly, still dragging me through the hallways.
"Ok then. Can I call you Coco? Because your name is too weird to say." He grunted in annoyance and picked up his pace. I let out a yelp of pain as I stumbled over myself and twisted my ankle. "Where are we even going?!"
"Outside." was all he said. I barely got back on my feet. This guy looked like he was at his basic pace. I was sprinting my legs off trying to keep up with him so my arm wouldn't get dislocated.
"Feonix!" a voice said in front of me. I turned my head and saw Raven and Sapphire being led by Kalin.
"Guys!! Could you guys give me a hand this maniac is too God damn fast!!" I heard Sapphire's laughter and Raven tell Kalin something.
"Skolik, let go of him." Kalin said. Skolik let go of my arm and I fell on my face. Sapphire's laughter blared in my ears. I quickly got up and brushed the dirt off of me, trying to save what dignity I had left.
"Not funny guys. This guy like dislocated my arm!" I said pointing an accusing finger at Skolik. Sapphire was bent over laughting and Kalin was trying to contain his own. Raven stopped laughing and gave me an encouraging smile. I smiled back and felt my cheeks heat up slightly.
"Don't worry about it Feonix. Everyone makes mistakes." She said with a sweet smile. My cheeks got redder and redder. Sapphire's laughter only grew.
"Like I said! You two are perfect for each other!" She howled. Raven joined me in blushing.
"Not to intrude on the moment, but we must head to breakfast. We must make haste." Kalin said. I silently thanked Kalin for getting us out of the embarrassing moment. Huh, what a surprise.
We kept walking through the many hallways, so many I would've gotten lost if I was by myself. Soon we approached another set of large doors. These doors however, looked very different from the doors that led to the throne room. These doors were made out of old oak wood, with two bright silver handles on both of them. There were more leaf designs on the doors as well, but these were carved into the wood and colored with gold.
The doors creaked open. I was expecting some beautiful magical crap out of a fairy tale. It was so much better. Definitely beautiful and magical, but most definitely not crap. There was a long light grey stone table, masterfully carved and polished. There were darker grey spirals covering the table.
Everything else in the room was just as marvelous. The four chairs surrounding the table were of the same stone as the table. They also had the same darker grey markings. The walls were colored a light sky blue, and there were vines and greenery growing on them as well. There were fountains in every corner of the room, spraying clear fresh water in multiple directions into their designated bowls.
