Phone Call

DAHYUN'S POV

"Okay, I'll call Lewis then," I was pretty close to him so I felt like it'll be alright. But all the members gave me were disagreeing stares. I turned over to Sana who held the opinion which I cared most about. She nodded and gave me a weak smile. Alright then, I told myself. I'll call him. I reached out for my bag and picked up my phone. Everyone was quiet and their eyes never left me. I loved attention but not like this. Suddenly, the one started buzzing. Chaeyoung jumped out of the couch abit. It must've really shocked her. The room was extremely silent, without the phone buzzing, you could hear a pin drop. I looked at the contact. Of course! Who else could it be? "Lewis," I said to them as if they all asked me eagerly. I'm pretty sure they were all eager to know, I could see it in their eyes trying to peak at my phone. Chaeyoung started panicking. "DAHYUN! DON'T PICK UP! I'LL COVER FOR YOU AND SAY YOU'RE IN THE HOSPITAL OR SOMETHING!" I let out a short laughter. Mina then put her hand over Chaeyoung's mouth and everyone started laughing. It was great to get the mood back,I couldn't stand anymore of that silence. I denied Chaeyoung's offer and picked up the phone. "Hey Lewis!" I tried sounding as casual as I could. "Hi Dahyun, how's everything going?" He said. I couldn't feel anything different. "Great!" I replied and let out an awkward laugh. Suddenly our conversation sounded so weird, we used to click immediately and I could spend hours talking to him, but now it just looked like the conversation was going to end in 3 sentences. "I heard some weird things about you and Sana, I just wanted to know if it was true?" He said. I couldn't see him in person but I could tell this made him feel extremely awkward. The members saw the face I was making. "S p e a k e r," Nayeon mouthed out. I read her lips and turned it to speaker. "Well," I said. I really wanted to tell him the truth, he was my Best Friend outside TWICE and I could trust him with that. "Sana and I," I said, looking at my members for approval. They all shook their head vigorously. All of them. "We're together," I said giving another awkward face. All the members looked extremely shocked I didn't know what to say to them. "It's not a joke, we really are dating," I said while I was at it. The other side of the phone went completely silent for about 2 minutes.
