"Blake! Get down here now!" I heard Alex shout from the living room, causing me to put the mop in my hand back into the bucket it came from before walking downstairs and towards him. I looked towards him and tilted my head, "Yes Alex, what do you need?" I asked.
"I need you to see this!" He said, his excitement levels clearly rising up as he turned his back from me, running towards his study, or what he more often called his workshop. He currently worked at Cyberlife, as a designer and engineer, but would often take his work home with him and continue to create many incredible creations. That's what he would say to me at least when he would go off on a long lecture about his 'newest creation'. Soon enough he walked back in, looking behind him at something which I couldn't currently see, "I'd like to introduce you to Maya." He said, looking towards me as the creature walked into my room.
For a split second my eyes widened before I scanned the creature, kneeling don to get a closer look.
Creature: Android husky dog
Age: Designed to be 4 years old
Android: Created through Cyberlife biocomponentsOnce I finished scanning I noticed the creature moving towards me hesitantly, seemingly scanning me just as much as I had scanned the creature myself, 'Did he also install a scanner to the creature' I thought. "So what do you think?" He said, kneeling down next to me and petting the husky, now named Maya.
I looked towards him a split second before looking back at Maya, my hand being held out as I stroked it, the fur was highly realistic, feeling exactly like a well groomed husky would. He certainly had pulled out all the stops to create this to make it as advanced as possible. "What I think? You know that's not part of my programming." I said, looking towards him and noticing him roll his eyes.
"Oh my sweetest creation..." He said, looking towards me and standing up, "Come sit down with me." He walked towards the dining room table, allowing me to sit down opposite him. I was slightly confused about what he was doing, but I decided not to say anything and instead let him speak, as he clearly wanted to say something and wanted me to definitely listen to him.
"You were made only a couple months ago, as a prototype AX600 model, to be the new and improved version of AX400... I didn't even think you were possible... But you are... " He began, his hand moving across the table and being placed on my cheek, thumb tracing underneath my eye. "You were made to perform all the same functions as the previous model and even more: you were made to be the most humanoid version possible, you can physically digest food and analyse it too, go into a sleeping state, perform almost any task that your partner asks of you. You were made to be the most accurate partner and house worker that could be made... And you worked, people would tell me we couldn't get anymore accurate when creating a model and yet here you are, right in front of me."
I tilted my head a little, "I already understood this Alex, you programmed me to be the most humanoid partner created, to also respond and recognise various levels of human emotion like happiness or stress. Why are you telling me this?"
