We'd been back at the precinct no longer than half an hour and Gavin was already threatening someone. Then again, it seemed to actually be working. The guy was looking up at him wide-eyed in what seemed to be terror. It had to be a matter of time before he started talking. Gavin HAD been sitting opposite him, but by now he was pinning him to the wall by his collar shouting at him to speak.
I sighed, pushing myself off the wall I had been leaning on before walking towards him. I sighed, putting my hand on Gavin's shoulder. "That's enough, I think you scared the crap out of him, I'll deal with the rest." I said, Gavin hesitantly pulling himself away before walking out of the room, now leaving me alone with well, a murderer. It may have sounded ridiculous, but at this rate I was used to it, considering I worked on homicide. He moved to sit back down in the chair, body shaking as he did so. I sat down opposite, looking towards him and quickly handcuffing him back to the table. I ran my hand in my hair as I looked towards him. "You killed your own wife knowing clearly that your daughter was looking at it..." I muttered, "That's inhumane."
"I told her not to look." He said through gritted teeth, clearly angry.
"If you think that you're not going to give me answers to what happened then you're sorely mistaken. I'm not as violent but I can assure you that you're going to regret it." I said, leaning forwards with my eyes narrowed. "So tell me, what brought you over the edge to kill her?""I'm not telling you." He said, glaring at me, but mine was a glare to be reckoned with. I slammed my hands on the table, standing up. "You killed the ONE person you should have loved most in the world, you stabbed her multiple times and dragged her into the outhouse like she meant nothing whilst your 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WATCHED!" I leaned down, now next to him, more or less whispering. "Did you have no feeling towards them at all? You psychopath..."
"I cared about them!" He shouted back, looking towards me, looking more sad then angry, I'd finally broke him into explaining. He looked down, hands gripped tightly together. "I loved them both, so much... But the night before she finally admitted to me she was having an affair, that I no longer mattered, that my theories had become true and she really was sleeping with Michael..."
"Michael?" I questioned.
"Her assistant and a close friend, he would often look after Amelia if we were not able to..." He started to cry, but after what he did I had no sympathy towards him. "He took such good care of her... What have I done? I didn't think about Amelia, about what this is going to do to her..."
I sighed, leaning a little closer, "After talking to your daughter, I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that she's somewhere safe, if I have to I will let her stay with me till she finds a suitable home. I'll be able to help her as long as you explain EVERYTHING to me." I said, "So you said that she told you about the affair the night before and you'd thought it was true before, is that what made you snap? You couldn't take that what you thought was true."
"No, that wasn't it..." He began, "She goaded me about it, made fun of me for not asking about it sooner, she made me feel small and pathetic, I couldn't take it anymore. So I took a knife from the kitchen when Amelia left... And I killed her. I was terrified, so I tried to hide the body, but she'd called you all and you get there before I could hide the body."
"What about when we were there, you shot at your daughter, she was safe because I protected her." I said, becoming increasingly more angry
"I was terrified!" He snapped back at me, hands fighting against the confides of the handcuffs. "I thought you were going to hurt her, I was being idiotic and I was angry and deranged. My actions isn't who I am!" He said, he was highly distressed, I knew if he was an android, he would no longer be living and would be trying his best to shut himself down, so she was lucky he was only human. But it too proved that humans could be just as disgusting, if not even worse.
I sighed, leaning back and looking towards the one-way mirror for a short moment. "Okay, I'm done, I've got what I need. Bring in Amelia, I need to ask her a few questions, oh and Gavin? Can you bring me the bag I got on the way back?"
