You/Loki POV (It can switch)
You and Loki sat in your room for a bit and ate breakfast together, enjoying your time together. Jumping from many different subjects to talk about.
"So (y/n) what books did you bring with you?" Loki asked remembering why he came to your room in the first place.
"Oh yeah!" You excitedly got up and opened your backpack taking out about four books you had brought, "These are some of my favorites that I've read like a million times!"
You watched as Loki scanned through them, "They're romantic fantasy novels?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah..." You sighed, "I read a lot of books like that. I've never had the best of luck in past relationships. I'm secretly a bit of a hopeless romantic, but I try to repress that side of myself because I doubt any other worldly romance would ever happen to me."
"Is that why you're basically attached to the hip of my brother?" Loki glanced over at you.
That question to you aback a bit, "Jesus no. He really is just my best friend and he has his relationship with Jane. Also between you and me, he's really not my type."
He slightly chuckled, "Thor is the shining star everywhere he goes, it's strange you're the only female who would say he isn't your type."
"Well maybe I just don't want to be with the shining star. I've never been one to go for that in a guy." You cross your arms.
"What exactly is your type then?" He asked out of pure curiosity.
"I don't know..." You hesitate, "...Maybe someone more like you..."
Loki seemed shocked by that answer but tried his best to keep a straight face, "...Why?"
You thought about it for a moment before responding, "I guess I just go for the ones who feel left out or in the shadows. The ones who feel misunderstood and need someone close to them as much as they try to push away. They are the ones who need love and would love you back with their whole being... Or maybe I'm a bit blind sighted by the novels I read and that's just my hopeless romantic side talking."
Loki looked as if he blushed a bit, "I never expected an answer like that from you..."
"If you want you can borrow my books to read while you're in your cell tonight." You offered with a smile.
"I think I would like that." He smiled.
After your two hours with him were up he poofed you both back down to the prisons and you locked the door behind him so he couldn't escape. You two said goodbye until the next day and you ran back upstairs to confront Odin.
Once you found him in the throne room he greeted you with a warm smile, "Hello my dear, what is the good word on my son today?"
You smiled back and stood in front of him, "Well, we connected a lot more today than yesterday. I think he's really warming up to me naturally. We discussed some of our favorite books and talked a bit more of our personal lives. I'm really starting to like him."
"It doesn't seem like he'd be manipulating you, does it?" The king cautioned.
"Well, I don't believe he is. I don't think he's so much of a bad guy, he's been fairly genuine with me. Over these couple of days I'm starting to feel so much better about him truly knowing him than when I was on Earth and only heard stories." You assured.
"Well, if this is all true and it keeps being good, then I will release him to roam free in a week." He said then permitted you to go on about your day.
You were happy to hear that because you felt he did deserve to be free after all. You only thoughts positive thoughts walking through the castle. You weren't sure what to do the rest of the day though so you decide to find Thor and hangout with him the rest of the day.
You couldn't wait to see how the rest of the week would go.
