Chapter 11

Your POV

~Time Skip~

A week has now passed of you and Loki getting closer and closer to the point you developed a good amount of trust to know for sure he should be able to roam free if he wished. Odin was aware of how well he had been doing with your guidance. Today you and Thor were summoned to hear Odin's new orders when it came to Loki.

You and Thor stood before the king as he spoke his demands, "Today is the day I will be releasing Loki from the dungeons, but I ask one condition upon doing so."

"Anything you think is best, father." Thor said.

"When I release Loki I want (y/n) here to still guide him, be there for him everyday. He can roam free, but I am not naive, he still needs someone there for him. I would give the responsibility to Thor, but he has many heroic duties that he must attend to at any given moment and (y/n) here has been doing a magnificent job watching him as it is." Odin said.

You and Thor both nodded in agreement.

"Now!" The king waved his hand at the both of you to leave, "Thor will be the one to bring him up to his room and (y/n) you will be waiting for him."

Your eyes grew wide and you and Thor shot a glance at each other, "Wait... King Odin, are you saying I'm sharing a room with him while I'm here?..."

"Father, I must say I'm as concerned as lady (y/n) is about this. You do remember she has been staying in his old room, right? You would have to give him a new room or have her switch rooms." Thor sided with you.

"I have provided two separate beds and the room is plenty big enough to share. I feel more comfortable upon his release if (y/n) can check on him at any time, even at night." Odin said strictly.

You and Thor gave each a mutual worried look before leaving the throne room together.

Thor lead you back to your new shared room with Loki and you both discover there are now two beds on opposite sides of the room, "Your father really wasn't kidding..." You muttered.

"I don't think this is right, but I guess he thinks it'll work since you've been sneaking up here with him during your sessions." Thor crossed his arms.

Your eyes widen and stared at him, "What! You both knew we've been doing that this whole time! How am I not being punished then?..."

"Heimdall sees all remember. You don't think Odin and I don't check up on you two, do you? We trusted you to know what your were doing or at least we wanted to trust you and you proved we could trust you with this. As much as I disagree with this arrangement, I can't say I blame him for thinking it'll work out with you both." Thor explained with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Well if the king can trust me then I'll trust him." You sighed and went over to sit on the bed with your backpack on it.

"I'll go get Loki and explain to him everything. I know he'll be so glad to be out of imprisonment." Thor tried to give a good reassuring smile before leaving you alone.

You rolled your eyes and layed back on your bed just waiting for your new roommate to arrive.
