From Where it All Started...
**********
Cans of beer scattered around the dimly lit room where a huge mess could be vaguely seen by the naked eye.
With the help of the moonlight that passes through the glass window pane, a lonely figure of a shadow with arms hugging her shins and head buried in between her knees can be seen. Her soft cries were the only music that could be heard in that quiet and dark room. With shoulders shaking, her long hair that was like a silk to the touch slid on her shoulders strands by strands creating a beautiful scenery yet it could cost one's heart to feel protective and pity once seen. Her hair as black as the night casted a curtain around her arms that tightly held her shin. Her fingers were slightly trembling from the intense emotions she felt as she tightened her hold of herself.
She was all alone in the dark corner of the room. She was both scared, mad and broken because in just a few words she had no one. Her fiance that she loved dearly was now in the hands of another woman. The promise they made for the future broke like pieces of the fragmented vases with beautiful carvings which could no longer be restored back to its original glory. So beautiful but once broken, could also become the ugliest memory in just a snap of misconduct.
For her, writing has been her escape when something bad came up to her life. This has been her outlet to make her mind and thoughts run wild. To make her pent up emotions to soar as high as she can able to let it go freely with no restraint. She never imagine that she could become a famous writer with that expense. Most of her stories consist of fantasy because she wanted to escape reality even its for just merely an hour or more. This is where she could also partially build up the dream of her heart's desire to the fullest, that is, to be love unconditionally.
She might be famous now but what of the future ahead. Having someone to rely, love and devote themselves to you is better than standing alone against the odds. So, she was expecting much from her fiance whom had disappointed her to this extent. After all, one could not have everything that one wanted.
The pitiful figure of a young lady could be seen falling gradually on the cold floor that could invoke a sense of justice and shielding for care. Her beautiful pair of hazel eyes looked up outside the windowpane, at the full moon that shined so bright at night. Her tear stained face as lovely as the white rose was graced by the moonlight which made her skin look so fair, soft and flawless to the sight against the contrast of darkness in the room that surrounded her.
Before she could continue to dwell on her thoughts and drown herself on sorrow under the mercy of the moon, a drop of something not far from her was heard around the quiet and dimly lit room.
Transferring her gaze from the place where she heard the sudden noise, she saw that a book was dropped off from the mini book stand. Looking at it more, she discovers that it was her newly released book of collective fantasy stories. She created that book when she was still so happy and blindly in love with her fiance with hopes that she could be just like the MC of the story who lived happily ever after. But the sad truth gave her a resounding slap. It was all her wishful thinking.
Reaching her hands to that same book that gave her hope and inspiration, she opened and read it once her hands get a grip on it. New batch of tears suddenly sprouted on her glistening eyes and fell on her rosy cheeks like waterfalls. She softly sobbed and hiccupped like a baby looking so adorable despite her pitiful appearance.
When she had enough to read, she tore every pages of the book, crumpled it and tossed it away. She remained lying on the cold floor with a helpless expression after she decided to let the darkness consumed her whole. She even thought of wishing to sleep forever just to take the pain away.
With that, she closed her eyes with tears still dripping on her beautiful face.
