Two figures who were previously fighting stopped as those words were spoken. The solemnity of the forest resumed and the night went calm once again.

Heavy breathing and exhausted sighs of the two figures were heard against the eerily quiet and dark forest. Princess Cynthia, on the other hand, did not care for it compared to what she had found out.

We're finally going to finish this mission in a day... Father would be proud of me for being a valiant Princess...

"Come down you two! We have to talk sense with this..." Princess Cynthia demanded when she saw that they were still up above, locked in a staring contest for who knows when will it be done.

The two figures eventually complied and went down near to her location. Princess Cynthia was so happy that she grabbed Devon in one go.

"You have no idea how troubled my father was knowing the Light Kingdom perished in just a span of one night. If not because of my cousin's father having a deal with a devil yet in the end, refused to concede of giving what it wanted as compensation, this tragic event wouldn't have happened in the first place. Thank goodness for good people like us that we had found you on time. Are you the only one who survived?" Princess Cynthia couldn't stop her mouth from blabbering non stop as she tugged Devon's arms in a childish manner.

"Princess Hillary is still alive but she's taken by the elves --" Devon spoke halfway while untangling Cynthia's arms on his. He wanted to ask about the 'deal with the devil' matter but got no chance.

"What! She's in the famous Forest Realm where pretty magic and powerful deities exist? How could that be?" Princess Cynthia's outburst stop Devon midway from speaking. She then, turned to Prince Drake to demand, "I want to go there, too!"

Prince Drake sighed deeply frustrated by Cynthia's spoiled behaviour yet again. "You know it's impossible..." He helplessly answered back to her, hoping she will easily quit that idea.

"But my older cousin could...." Cynthia responded back stubbornly while stomping her feet in tantrums.
