Chapter 1: The Beginning

*Don't play music until they arrive at school*

If you would've told me that I would be living a real-life horror movie. I wouldn't have believed you.

Hi, I'm Vanessa Hawthorne, I'm 19 years old. I have a younger named Jason, he's 18. We both live in Hawthorne Hill with both of our parents. We go to Hawthorne Public High School. The school sucks but at least I have my best friends, Kayla, Stephen, Josh, Megan,Mateo, Alyssa and, my girlfriend Taylor. We've been best friends since Kindergarten. Now we're all seniors ready to go off to college and live our best lives. But those dreams take a dark turn when the most horrifying event happened. No one was ever the same. Hawthorne Hill is not what it seems, underneath all the happiness, lies darkness and secrets waiting to be revealed one by one. Welcome to Hawthorne, we've been dying to meet you.

*September 17th* Monday

6:45 am

VANESSA, WAKE YOUR BROTHER UP FOR SCHOOL YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE!" My mom yells from downstairs.

"OK, MOM!" I say loudly.

I walked to Jason's room and yelled for him to get up. He still wouldn't budge so I decided to get some water from the bathroom and spill it on him.

"WHAT THE HELL V?!" My brother says angrily

"I told you to wake up!" I say laughing

Jason finally gets ready for school and I do the same. We get downstairs where we find our parents looking at us in a stern way.

"You guys are late for school. Why can't you do anything right?!" My dad says sternly.

"Sorry, Dad..." I say melancholically.

" Yeah, sorry..." Jason says.

"Whatever, get the hell out of my sight."

I and Jason slowly leave the house trying to hold in our tears.

*Back at the Hawthorne Household*

"You didn't have to talk to them like that." Mom said sadly.

"They need to learn that their actions deserve consequences, honey," Dad replies

"I guess you're right..." Mom answered.

"I know I am". Dad says confidently.

*Back to Jason and Vanessa*

" I swear I hate him V, all he ever does is yell at us. Its like were never good enough." Jason says angrily.

"I understand but he's still our dad Jase we can't disobey him," I say.

"Whatever." Jason rolls his eyes.

"Let's keep walking," I replied.

15 Minutes Later Jason and Vanessa arrive at Hawthorne High and greet Taylor and Mateo at the door.

"Hey BITCHES!!" Taylor says loudly

"Do you have to scream? Mateo says annoyingly.

"Shut up Mateo, don't get your thong in a bunch," Taylor answered.

"Why are we friends again?" Mateo replies.

"Oh stop, you love me!" Taylor says.

"Hey, Tay!" I say excitedly
