Chapter 9: Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

Vanessa's POV

Vanessa: Josh! Wha- what are you doing here?!

Josh: Just came to talk. I believe you have something of mine.

Vanessa: I pull out his missing patch from his jacket

Vanessa: I- I know what you did...

Josh: What did I do Vanessa? What. Did. I. Do?

He stepped closer and closer to me. I could feel his breath on my face.

Vanessa: STAY AWAY FROM ME!

I ran away as quickly as i could. He starts chasing after me. I try to open the back door but it wouldn't budge. Josh then grabbed me and threw me across my floor.

Vanessa: Wh- WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME? TO TAYLOR?

Josh: Taylor wasn't who you thought she was. She was evil. She didn't care about anything she did as long as she got her way. You see Vanessa, Taylor's father was cheating on his wife, with MY MOTHER. They've been sleeping together for months. I-I tried to stop my mom from seeing him but she didn't listen. Then, one day when my father took me to see a movie, my mother stayed home and had her father over. Taylor saw everything. She just snapped. She threw a fucking LIGHTER ON MY HOUSE VANESSA! HAHA. A LIGHTER! Do you know how INSANE that sounds?

Vanessa's Thought: Oh. my. Gosh. That's why she had that red lighter in that box. She set the house on fire.

Josh: Her father got out safely...but my mom. She was left there to DIE! He could've saved her but he didn't. My family was ruined after that. My dad had to work 3 jobs just to get us an apartment. She ruined EVERYTHING for me. So i killed her. I shot her twice in the stomach. I ran away but my jacket got stuck on a loose nail on the front door. I didn't have time to pick it up so I just hid it. I thought that no one was going to find out. That I was going to get away with it. But you, you had to stick your nosy ass into my business. You could've just worried about something else. Instead you had to find out this way.

He pulls out a gun and points it at me

Vanessa: Please..please don't do this. I won't tell anyone I swear

Josh: But you did already, didn't you. Mateo right? That's why you called him?

I stood there silent.

Josh: That's what I thought... he points the gun at me, but as soon as he was about to shoot. I heard something...

*CLICK*

  It was the sound of the door opening. I sighed in relief. I looked up at Josh.

Josh: Get up. Your coming with me.

I get up and he drags me out of the back door. I'm going to die tonight...
