She had to leave the only life she had ever known because her father received a job offer. Eighteen-year-old Alexis Winters travels with her father and older brothers to one of the coldest places on earth, Iceland. There, she meets Arthur Curry, a m...
Alexis and her family were now moving to a small village in Iceland called Djúpavík. It had a population of 50 people, making that 54 now. 'This place smells like fish.' Bryan and Michael mentally said while following their father in their trucks. Alexis rode with her dad in his SUV since her car got stolen a week before moving day. Even though she no longer had a car, Alexis decided not to let it bother her; she'd live without it. Looking out the window, she spots a small bookstore and a bar. She made a mental note to buy some new books later.
Alexis stared out the window the entire time her father drove; she was so captivated by the sights that she didn't even realize they had arrived at their new house. Allen tapped on the passenger side window, and his daughter jumped."Dad! Don't do that again!" Alexis growled and got out of the SUV. Even though she wasn't pleased about leaving Gotham, Alexis put on a fake smile and didn't voice any complaints. Her father used to work for her uncle Bruce about five years ago until, one day, he decided to become a fisherman.
"Sweetheart, come see our new home." She heard her dad excitedly say.
"Wow, it's nice," Alexis said once she saw their new home.

"It only has three bedrooms, so your brothers must share a room." Alexis heard her dad say. 'At least I get my room.' She smiled.
"I have to share a room with him." Bryan and Michael said simultaneously as they pointed at each other. 'This sucks.' They thought. The twins hoped to get their own bedroom instead of sharing one, but luck wasn't on their side. They both gave their little sister jealous looks before pouting.
The family soon entered their new home; they were all so excited until they saw the color of the walls in the living room. It was the ugliest shade of yellow and brown they had ever seen. "It's so ugly," Alexis comments, and her father and brothers nod. They all continued looking through the rooms, hoping that the walls didn't look as fugly as the one in the living room. Everyone was so relieved that the rest of the rooms didn't look as ugly as the first one.
After exploring the house, Allen told his kids to pick a room. Alexis chose the room with an ocean painted on the walls, while her brothers decided the room with a laundry chute. They both high-fived each other and thought, 'Score.' Shaking her head at the twins' antics, Alexis and the twins soon go outside to help their father carry Alexis's furniture into the house. "You have a lot of shit!" The twins complained as they hauled their little sister's bed frame up to her room while Allen helped them."You two have more shit than I do, and you know it!" Alexis shot back, carrying two boxes into her bedroom closet.
{Two hours later}
After bringing in the last of Alexis's furniture, Allen, Bryan, and Michael go back outside to carry in their bedroom furniture. At the same time, Alexis sets to work on putting her bed together. It took her about 30 minutes to set up her bed before unpacking. As Alexis put away her belongings, she opened a small box with the scrapbook she had made of her family. 'I'll look at this later after I'm done.' She thought to herself before she set the scrapbook down on her dresser.
