She had to leave the only life she had ever known because her father received a job offer. Eighteen-year-old Alexis Winters travels with her father and older brothers to one of the coldest places on earth, Iceland. There, she meets Arthur Curry, a m...
It was an ordinary night in Gotham City; police sirens, ambulance sirens, and firetruck sirens loudly echoed throughout the busy streets of Gotham. Never-ending crime and corruption plagued the big city during the day and night. This dark city looked peaceful during the day, but appearances can be deceiving. Theft, murder, bombings, drugs, kidnappings, and illegal sale of firearms would happen every morning and night. The Gotham police had their hands tied with all the criminal cases in the city, but thankfully, they had the Dark Knight on their side.
This caped crusader went by another name, "Batman." He was feared by all of the villains in Gotham and respected by some of the law enforcement. Most citizens loved and admired him for cleaning up the crime-filled streets and saving countless lives. 18-year-old Alexis Ophelia Winters was one of the people the Dark Knight had saved, but that's a story for another time. A family of four lived in a giant penthouse that overlooked the brightly lit city streets. A hardworking father named Allen Winters and his three children, Bryan, Michael, and Alexis. The Winters family was celebrating Alexis's High school graduation.
"Congratulations on graduating, Sweetheart," Allen said to his daughter with pride shining in his eyes.
"Congrats, little sis." Bryan and Michael said in unison.
The shy girl blushed and thanked them. She was never one for parties since her mother died three years ago.'I wish that you could be here, Mom.' A tear fell from her eye, and her father hugged her."I know, Sweetheart. We all miss her." Her father softly said as she cried into his shirt. He comfortingly rubs her back and gently says, "There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think about your mother. And knowing your mom, she wouldn't want you to be sad, Alexis. She would want you and your brothers to smile and cherish every day."
After Alexis stopped crying, she hugged her dad and her older brothers. Knock Knock Knock, everyone heard the familiar knock. Michael walks to the front door and opens it to reveal none other than Bruce Wayne. "Hey, Uncle Bruce. You come here to see the twerp?" He greeted and looked behind him to see Alexis flipping him off."Hello, Michael." Bruce said, chuckling at the siblings' childish antics. 'I'm glad to see that some things haven't changed.' He smiled. Michael stepped aside to let his uncle inside, and the moment Alexis saw Bruce, she darted toward him and hugged him.
"Uncle Bruce, it's so good to see you. I missed you." Alexis said she was so happy to see her uncle since he always works.
"It's good to see you too, Alex." Bruce hugged her back and gently patted his niece's head. He chuckled when she let him go and tried to fix her hair. "Why do you guys always mess with my hair?!" Alexis growled while she fixed her hair. Bryan walked up to Bruce, and they both hugged."You and your brother sure have grown." Bruce commented. "Well, uncle, at least I grew more handsome than this ugly ape over here." Bryan pointed to his twin brother, who flipped him off.
"I'm glad that you made it, Bruce," Allen said to his childhood friend, who was like a brother to him. "I wouldn't miss celebrating Alexis's High School graduation for anything," Bruce said. They both smiled, and then the twin brothers brought a fancy-looking cake. It had a blue graduation hat, a blue and white tassel, and a diploma.
