*I wrote this story way before Aquaman. So, the timeline might be strange. I'm asking you guys nicely not to complain or ask me to fix it*

Five months have passed since Alexis moved in with Arthur. Alexis, Bryan, and Michael unlocked their Atlantean powers thanks to Mera and Arthur, both strict teachers. Keeping his word to his daughter, Allen did everything he could to help Declan, but after several failed attempts, he called King Axel for help. After three months of research, they finally came up with two solutions: have a sorceress erase his memories or make him part of a royal pack's family so he can retain what little sanity he has left.

One night, Allen approached Declan and offered to make him a part of his family. After Arthur killed Carter, Declan felt empty; the monster that he swore to get his revenge on was dead. His village was gone, and his entire family, along with all of his friends, were destroyed. With nothing left for him, he accepted the offer without a second thought. And now Declan had no regrets; he wasn't alone anymore.

Michael and Mera were taking things slow while Bryan still hasn't found his mate, but he hasn't given up hope on finding her one day. David later learned from his dad that his mom was pregnant with twins, and he was pleased about being a big brother. And as for Alexis and Arthur, they were like any other couple. They both loved each other and sometimes fought, but in the end, they always made up.

The tragic news of Superman's death had spread to every corner of the world. Everyone mourned the loss of a great hero. And now, with the Man of Steel being gone, crimes began to rise rapidly. Murder, theft, and bombings happened every day since the earth's strongest protector died. Criminals had nothing to fear now that their greatest threat was gone.

"It's unfortunate. The people accused Superman of being a huge threat since that battle in Metropolis, then a monster killed him, and now the people are still mourning him." Alexis said as she handed Arthur his beer.

"I know, babe, but that's life," Arthur told her.

"I wish that I could've met him." Bryan sighed.

"Me too, bro." Michael pats his brother's shoulder. "I would've loved to spar with Superman."

"You against Superman? Dream on." Alexis laughed as she sat on Arthur's lap. "You barely lasted forty minutes against Mera and me."

"I could never hurt my beautiful goddess." Michael declared.

"Speaking of Mera, she asked me to tell you that you will be sparring with her this evening." Bryan chuckled when he heard his brother groan.

Alexis's mind soon drifted to her uncle; the last time she Skyped him, she noticed that his eyes held sadness and guilt in them. And when she asked him about it, he would change the subject. It hurt that he couldn't confide in her, but she left it alone.

"Something wrong, Babe?" Arthur asked with a slight hint of concern in his voice.

"It's nothing." Alexis tried to reassure him, but he sent her a look of disbelief. "I'm worried about my uncle. I think that he's hiding something from me. Maybe I'm just being paranoid."

"Your uncle probably has his reasons for not telling you, Sweets," Arthur said carefully, and a sad smile formed on her lips. Before saying anything else, he noticed all the villagers entering the bar.

A man that Arthur didn't recognize had entered the bar. Alexis quickly got off his lap when she smelt a familiar scent. There was only one person that she knew who smelled like expensive cologne and bats: her uncle. Alexis wasted no time going to the front with Arthur following behind her.

"I'm asking for your help. I believe a stranger comes to this village from the sea. He comes in the winter when people are hungry. Brings fish. He comes on the king tide. That was last night." A familiar voice said.
