After hearing what her brother said, Alexis sighed and said, "Dad is more stubborn than you, me, and Michael. What do you think will happen when he sees me like this?! I'll tell you what he will do. Dad will be out for blood." Lowering his head, Bryan realized that Alexis was right. Their father was very protective of them, but when it came to Alexis, Allen wouldn't hesitate to tear apart anyone who hurt his little girl. 'Dad's stubborn as a mule.' Bryan thought while watching Arthur clean Alexis's wounds and bandage them.

"Had it been Mike or me who had gotten hurt, Dad would've fucked up the person who was responsible. But since it was you that got hurt, Mike's going to have a hard time trying to keep Dad from killing the redhead." Bryan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. After hearing what Alexis' brother said, Arthur started worrying about Mera's safety. And from what he could remember reading from the old book that Alexis let him borrow, Ice wolves, especially male wolves, were very protective of their mates and children. 'Great! Mera's got herself into trouble again.' Arthur thought as he finished bandaging Alexis' wounds.

Noticing the worried look on his face, Alexis reassuringly says to Arthur, "Don't worry, I won't let my Dad hurt her." A small smile tugged at his lips. 'We've been dating for four months, and she still finds a way to surprise me.' Arthur thought before hearing someone loudly knock on the front door. He walked towards the door and opened it to find Alexis' other brother. Michael stood outside with a scared look as he held Mera in his arms. "He smelled Lexi's blood on her, and now he's after her." Michael quickly says. Moving aside, Arthur let him inside before locking the door.

Carefully setting the injured redhead on the couch, Michael softly asks, "Did I hurt you when I ran from my Dad?" Mera shook her head, and he breathed a sigh of relief; he was so glad that he didn't do anything that would aggravate her injuries any more than they already were. 'Why is he helping me? I attacked his sister?' Mera wondered before Arthur interrupted her thoughts by saying, "These cuts are deep, but not deep enough to require stitches. And as for your leg, it'll need to be stitched. Damn, Alexis got you good."

Despite Mera harming his girlfriend, Arthur would never wish harm on her. He also felt very proud of Alexis for being able to protect herself. Knowing that she could hold her own in a fight had eased some of his worries, but there was only one question on Arthur's mind right now, 'Who in the hell taught her how to fight?' The way that she fought was graceful and calculated, like an intelligent and deadly predator. 'She'll make a great queen.' Arthur held Alexis's hand and thought, 'My Queen.' Feeling someone glaring daggers at her, Alexis looked around and saw that it was Mera. The red-haired Atlantean sat on Arthur's couch with Michael.

"Michael, what happened with Dad?" Alexis asked. She wanted to know how their father had reacted. "Well, I took Mera back to the house to treat her injuries. But when I went inside, Dad noticed me carrying her. And as soon as he smelled your blood on Mera, he went berserk. If I hadn't run out of the house when I did, he would've killed her right then and there." Michael stated. Scratching the back of his neck, he said, "I've never seen Dad that angry before."

'This is bad.' Alexis worriedly asked, "How long do we have until he arrives?" Looking at her, Michael only says, "About twenty minutes." Everyone quickly looked at Bryan when they heard him laugh and say, "Well, shit. Looks like we have to restrain him again, Mike." Michael grinned and jokingly said, "It's a big job, but someone's gotta do it." They both wore mischievous grins that made everyone shudder and think, 'This can't be good.' The twins looked at Arthur and innocently asked, "Do you have any rope?"

Raising his brow, he hesitantly asked them, "Why?" Devilish smiles form on the two men's lips."Forget I asked. The rope is in the hall closet." Arthur told them, and the twins left to get the rope. "Should I ask?" He whispered to Alexis, who laid her head on his lap. "Nope." She replied, and Arthur ran his fingers through her long, soft hair. "Aren't you worried about them?" Mera asked. The red-haired woman didn't know why she worried about the youngest twin. He was an Ice wolf, the enemy of her people, but he was very kind to her. 'Don't forget that Michael treated your wounds and saved you from his father.' A small voice in Mera's mind reminded her.
